It's unconscionable that Dawkins would try to talk Ayaan out of the faith that freed her from spiritual despondency. She owes no "rational defense" of her faith. Her testimony, her reason for the hope within her, is personal. She offers the only defense that matters to the unconverted, that is, she says "look what Christ has done for me" (no telescope, no calculator, no PhD required). She didn't convert to Dawkins' childish understanding of Churchianity. She met Christ and is following Him! I am not familiar with Ayaan, but it took a lot of courage for her to talk about her conversion to Christianity in the company of such a disrespectful cynic. Doesn't Dawkins remind you of the characters depicted in Bunyan's "Pilgrims Progress", the characters Christian encounters on his quest to be freed of his burden?
