@computerrefurbishment97482 жыл бұрын
Hi yes that would be good but prices quite high at the moment and I think that cpu would bottleneck it. I have a 1050ti which worked with the old single core. Might try that at some point (even with the bottleneck!) just as an experiment.

For this pc, the cpu did not have integrated graphics therefore a gpu is needed. This came with the pc and a vga cable was used to connect to monitor. I replaced the gpu as this was quite weak.

@computerrefurbishment97483 жыл бұрын
Could be corrupted data. You might be able to get installation media from somewhere and install on a new hard drive. An ssd will work with xp but it does not include the 'trim' function. Therefore performance will be good initially compared to a mechanical drive but could degrade over time.

I used Clockgen to speed up my processor to 200 mhz. higher. It is an AMD Athlon x2 4200+. It is running at 2.354 Gz. Normally it runs 2.1+. The trick is: Selecting ICS 951412 ; running and re-saving; each time it goes into Windows 10 32 bit. Patience is needed to set Clockgen; because; there could be a program in the background at startup that can freeze the PLL clock setting. Words of caution: Make your selections slowly for PLL control; then apply. Ignore IC Dump.
