Awesome man! How many times have you been soloing before this trip? Hopefully you do a little fishing on the next vid!

Thanks! This video was my 2nd solo trip. I get into a little fishing and some grouse hunting in part two. It’s been a challenge to put in fishing time, the fall season I find is a bit harder to catch fish and I just haven’t put in the time! My latest video series of my last solo I didn’t catch a single fish as I condensed an 8 day trip into 5.5 days! My goal this year is to a lot of fishing and have at least 1-2 fish fry’s on all my trips!

@@ManitobanOutdoors Part two out yet? wondering if you got into Snowshoe Lake?
@ManitobanOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Will be out on the weekend, my file got corrupted and had to redo it. Takes me awhile as I don’t have a lot of time and I am just learning how to make videos. I walked the portage to Snowshoe but didn’t get on the water.

Hi, is it possible and safe to do the same, 3-4 portage with 2 nights, in the beginning of November?
@ManitobanOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it is possible to paddle so long as the water isn’t freezing, but being safe is a subjective question as it all depends on level of experience and ability to be prepared. Paddling in the shoulder seasons can present risks if not properly prepared for cold weather. Specific to this area, the campground would be closed and gate may be closed. Which means you would need to park near the gate and walk to the lake, which is allowed according to MB parks. I would think water levels are low but doable. May be a rocky shallow part near the first set of falls/portage into McGregor lake.
