That's because Tamara was the only one who as a teenager probably wasn't even thinking like these women were when they were the same age. My closest cousin started having sex at 14 and dropped out of high school at 17 and was another of three by age 24 . Meanwhile, I made out with a guy for the first time in my life on the eve of my 24th birthday after finishing grad school. This conversation made me not want to watch this show anymore. I have found the show entertaining, but I have always thought that it over-indexes on silly, frivolous topics ("According to a poll on PurplePrincess.com 84% of women like to wear matching sets of underwear. So ladies, what do YOU think?") to the extent that it does these hosts as well as the audience a real disservice. But when I see these hosts completely butcher an issue like this, I am so beyond appalled, disappointed, and to be honest - disgusted - that I can't help but think they should have their Emmy snatched back. If you ladies are going to be so lazy that you do not take the time to do basic research (beyond your first instinct and the Bible) to show that you understand multiple perspectives on an issue, then why even bother having a talk show like this? You want to claim that this show has a culturally significant role representing women of color on daytime TV. Please do something halfway useful with this privilege.

Problems I have with this segment: 1) Jeannie and Adrienne supporting T.I.'s action; 2) Loni's "only problem" being T.I.'s double standard treatment between his sons and daughters; 3) nobody NOBODY on this panel bothered at all by the fact that not only is T.I. violating his daughter's privacy and body rights physically, but also by announcing this fact to the public! Your daughter's body, virginity, and gyno visits are her own business... not yours, not ours, and most definitely not any of the thirsty and creepy men (and probably women, too) out there. T.I. is T.I... but I have been a huge fan of The Real for years and have never been so disappointed with the ladies or the show until now.

I’m sorry but this is a NO for me dawg. The only thing this is doing is potentially making her more sneaky. Overprotective parents don’t do anything but drive their kids to rebel. Not to mention there is no actual way to tell if someone is a virgin. The hymen is a membrane that doesn’t even break it stretches. Children are going to grow up, your babies become adults who do adult things. The quicker some come to this realization the better on the relationship.

There is literally no reason that T.I needed to have his teenage daughter's hymen checked. This was not about her health (pap smear, cervical exam etc), this was about her sexuality - and that's what makes it so weird and messed up. The panel is going on about "he cares as a father" crap, if T.I had a concern about his daughter's sexual activity, why couldn't he have had "the talk" with her??? Tell her about what kinds of guys are out there, how to protect herself, how to conduct herself, what his concerns or expectations are. Not literally have her body physically checked -- and being coerced into it. No one is saying that a parent can't want to protect their children - but what T.I did is gross. It's not protection, it's invasive. Even after being told that the hymen does not indicate anything about sexual activity, this man still wanted the procedure done. Just sick and weird.
