Hey Puddin' Old timer trick when swinging a sledge at a punch to save yer hands is to clamp a vice grip onto the punch an hold it with your non swingin hand by the vice grip. If you miss you just hit the vice grip and have to re clamp it instead of jumpin around cussin for 30 seconds! Learned that from my forklift repair days.
