Suggestion for the bushes, stick them in the freezer overnight while giving the subframe a blast with a heat gun before you press them in. Use thermal expansion and contraction to help get things together. I use this trick on ball joints in hubs and it works a treat.

When you mentioned about this channel being a side project so to speak I thought, no way as the quality is really good, was actually amazed you guys only have around 135k subscribers, should really be in the millions as its always such great content. Perhaps see if you can do a collaboration with another channel over there (when things ease up a bit) - might be interesting to see what some other channel's "performance" car does against something that has been properly built by you guys :) keep up the great work!

Those dust covers really are key for longevity on road cars. The few customers that have come through with solid joints have visible marring on the joints from road dust working in. Very pricey arms too with advertised "self cleaning" joints. About that Greddy cover, after watching Gail Banks' diff cover vids I wonder how that design doesn't starve the pinion bearings. Seems like you'd have to plumb a cooler return behind the bearings.

@@nickg4135 fail. @Ollie_James look at the first video.. George just repeated what was basically said in the first video of that project. Apparently Nagata was screwed over by the owner (or at least driver in a magazine) of the car back then and doesn't want anything to do with it any more. Which is (from my personal standpoint) legitimate. If you are that much into your projects and cars and someone screws you over, you may not want to be remembered about it any more.. @adampinczesgarageandfabric99304 жыл бұрын
i would keep the OE cover to keep fluid flowing correctly to the pinion and just add a diff cooler. the fun part is finding a pump setup that will circulate gear oil. i think the 2016 cadillac ATS V has a rear diff cooler. might be able to use parts from that.
@MotiveVideo4 жыл бұрын
We will be using a diff cooler. This sump allows the pick up for the cooler to o get more oil and then where the ok comes back in is higher up, helping circulate the oil over the down and pinion. We’ve seen his video and though about it 👍
