this episode was almost excusively about alcohol which is fine lol 😂 but if you ever circle back and do it again i’d love to hear more about smaller parties/get togethers, adult parties, themed milestone parties (housewarming, engagement), new friends/flings at parties, after parties, things like that. just some ideas i’d love y’all to talk about! :)

The BEST drinking game is Thumper! It starts with a chant, going to a slow beat of the group tapping the table. Then, the first person makes up a hand sign, passes it on to someone else by looking DIRECTLY at them (no talking allowed), each consecutive person needs to repeat all symbols, make up theirs, and do it in exact order up until each turn. The beat speeds up, people start slamming the table harder, eye contact intensifies, and it ends so quickly that you get sooo many rounds in before people quit. It's the best in the middle of a big party with a huge group, and an audience!

I'm currently getting my masters in Paris and meeting people from all over the world and it's funny how the drinking games you guys talked about exist in a lot of other countries but just under different names. After playing these games during undergrad in the US it's really funny to see that people from England, Germany, India, etc. also play the games we played - drinking culture is universal lol

I just don't get it, never have...drinking can be enjoyable to loosen up but getting destroyed is just a waste of time that you can't get out of, you're just stuck in it until it all finally wears off. I know alcoholism runs in my family, so I've never once been able to feel like I could just give up control and think everything will be fine on the other end. The rare times when I was younger that I would get trashed were just failures to ride the line of a good buzz into the bad decisions to push the limit. Plus, having now watched someone go through severe alcoholism (in recovery for a bit now, fingers crossed its permanent) it just destroyed the last shred of enjoyment I can take from anything more than a couple of drinks now and again.

As someone who grew up in buffalo, NY you always went to Canada for your 18th birthday haha that's just what you did. My group of friends waited for the last of us to turn 18 then we all got a hotel room and stayed in Canada for the night. The one good thing about growing up here..

I'm from the UK and what we use to do was use someone's ID who we knew who was older than us, I use to use my cousins because we look similar, and then we'd change our Instagram and Facebook names to their names as back up 🤣

i had a fake ID all through highschool . took the photo with a bunch of makeup making me look “older” and i was 15 ! used it up until i turned 21 with not a single issue . now that im 21 and use my ID and sometimes i have to show my PASSPORT they think its fake . ive showed credit cards , even my birth certificate , and they still think its fake . ts is ridiculous 🤣

The first time I ever drank, I was 15. My dad's girlfriend had broken up with him, and two weeks later my boyfriend broke up with me, and we were both absolutely miserable. I never had a fake ID, I would just show my real ID while I was under age to get in to bars. The bouncers never checked the birthday unless you looked really underage, so luckily it always worked out for me.

the bar in my college town would make us pull up our instagrams or snapchat to prove we were really our IDs and then quiz you on the info on the ID (most of us would hand our real IDs down to the ones who werent old enough)
