Great to see you moving around! Not too much too fast, tho... I did that with my rotator cuff surgery - took a full year to heal..

Good afternoon Sensei ; I have one of the expandable Batons . I can't carry it in n.j. it's banned.! I do train with it from time to time , You did a training video a few years ago and I purchased the same one that you are using today .! I like your technique and I think along the same lines that you are talking about . I keep my strikes focused on the things that I can take away from the " Bad Guy " ! I have to agree with you on PRACTICAL ! ! ! I am not one for " Fancy Stuff " ! I am not going to let the bad guys get close enough to " Stab" me ; Sensei , I have my Cane Masters Cane ! ! And I'm going to put the bad guys Out of commission fast .! Sensei , thank you for another great lesson .! And it's so good to see you doing so well .!

Thanks for the video. I've never had an expandable baton, and for some reason, they just don't appeal to me. Now that I walk with a cane most of the time when I'm in public, I don't really need one. As you've said many times, all of the principles apply to whatever is available. One thing we learned in 2020 is that only a firearm is really effective against a crowd of people. If I were using an expandable baton, I think I would try to go for knee strikes more than any other. Because I wouldn't feel comfortable making a thrust strike in defense, I would be particularly anxious to take away the attacker's ability to come after me. That might mean taking the risk that I would do permanent damage to his knee, but if that's how I need to escape, then that's what I must do.

Fancy footwork ends when you find yourself locked to your tippy toes. You're an inspiration. 3:47 Ballet wasn't for you. Still isn't MP. Great work. 9:42 I think learning disarms is a way to teach capability and vulnerability; of different types of melee weapons. If you can learn how to use the momentum of the opponent and the weapon he is holding against himself, it instills a calm fearlessness not found in pure aggression.

Hi Matt, which length would you recommend for home defense? Carry is unfortunately forbidden in Germany
@pasquinilli8 ай бұрын
As long as possible

I think it's a good idea to carry at least 2 different EDC self defense weapons

Hi Matt. Do you know if an expandable baton can be carried in New York State without a concealed carry permit?

It’s good. But I overdid it today! Hahaha. Swollen up like a sausage!

@@pasquinilli That's better than not doing enough and end up with a weak stiff hip. Walking is great for rehab.
