Musically and vocally it’s a good cover. It’s a shame that the story is missing. Two verses have been hacked out and also a small section that initially appears as a bridge and is slightly reworded to provide the end of the story.

You're so right. Because everyone loves fast car and it's meaning is unique to each person. I love how you can see that when different people/groups cover it. I love how you can see that when it comes on and everyone goes into deep thought. I love that she allows so many to cover her masterpiece. Every single cover is beautiful in its own way, because you cannot do that song without passion. This song is absurdly beautiful! The version of Tracy Chapman is beautiful without defects !, but that of "Mike, (passenger)". It is the best version I have ever heard in my life! I've been a fan of Tracy Chapman's music since I was 18. Singing this song out loud with my best friend when I got my driving license Lol. Lots of memories in it. But gosh this cover by Passenger is excellent. Brings something new to the song. Love it!

A lovely cover, true to the original by Tracy Chapman. This song was a hit when I was young and am sure this cover will also go the same way. My heart stopped at the 3 minute mark, thinking, God don’t let this song stop when he goes into the final stanza and I breathed a sigh of relief, almost like waiting for my last breath before I die 😀

Passenger is the singer you best experience when room is dark and cool, and eyes are closed. You feel the peace, warmth and every single instrument played. His are some of the best lyrics I have heard in English music (since I am an Indian).
