Passenger Side Floor Pan Replacement Using Ex-pressed Steel Panels half floor

Passenger side floor pan replacement using the half floor pan from Ex-Pressed Steel Panels in Yorkshire. Top quality panel !
As usual all the work is prep prep prep, very little actual welding and time to clean and treat the bits you cant get to or see.
Some small fixes to do, couple rough bits on the inner sill / box section to repair and a little bit on the front lip of the seat brace, other than that nothing remarkable.
Part 2 should see us buttoned up
Interesting observation was that the two front drain holes lined up perfect on drivers side but passenger side is a little off, nothing to worry about as everything else seems OK.

I have half an Imp in a lock-up and today was looking at the construction of the area you're currently working on. Was wondering if would be possible to unpick all the spot-welds on the 'crossmember' panel to get in at the box-section etc behind it. Also noticed it has quite a few spot-welds joining it to the lower part of the inner wheeltub

Yes, you can pull the rear vertical cross member panel off , loads of spot welds including the captive nut supports. It fits almost like a finisher panel for the rear of the full floor pan. It is not a panel I can find in the parts manual so no idea what it is actually called. It will come from inner wheel tub one side all the way to the other.

well before I start on my actual Imp I think I'll try removing the whole 'panle with no name from the half-Imp to see how I getr on doing the repairs@@hillmanimprestoration
