The entire album is sublime, but I think "Marie" is the most impressive song. What courage for Lori to even write about such profound loss as a child and the love of her family that redeemed her. Such beauty and power.

As the legendary Bob Harris (BBC -UK) says: 'One of the great songwriters of our time.' I anticipated the new album 'The Balladeer' the same way that I have the most recent from Bruce ('Western Stars') and Dylan ('Rough and Rowdy Ways'). And, of course, I haven't been disappointed; three great albums. There are few people that I have wanted to see live that I haven't yet seen and Lori is one of them. She truly deserves a bigger audience for her own albums and shows. I daydream that sometime Lori will headline her own shows in the UK. I have thought of the support act too -Mark Erelli.
