Joan Collins and her husband are crazy posh and pretty good Password players. In watching a bunch of these old episodes, it's so funny how frequently the word "garter" gets used as a password - I guess to make it spicy, lol.

Best episode of Star Trek ever. Written by the amazing speculative fiction writer, Harlan Ellison. I heard him speak in Toronto, at the old Ryerson Theatre, in 1987. He had the entire audience mesmerized. He looked like he was really enjoying himself. I had a blast. I will never forget that night.

Gilly James - It was the last car on a RxR train. At least one man (sometimes 2) sat in the Caboose and looked for Hobos and thieves and vandals. It was often made of wooden slats/planks, but later metal as was the Engine. The caboose had a "Window Box" (for want of a better term) sticking out from each side of the caboose so the Conductor could sit on a chair / stool and look at the train cars ahead and the things on the sides of the tracks. Then, if necessary, he could call the Engineer and tell him information. { Hobos were a big thing in the Great Depression-era, 1929 - 1940 time period. Out-of-work men trying to get a free train ride on a freight train, either in an open Box Car ( if it was raining or snowing ) or on flat cars with logs or lumber or steel / iron beams. Some were outright thieves and criminals on the run. There were "Hobo Camps" in woods / brushy areas near the train tracks. The RxR company wanted to sell tickets not give free rides to bums & criminals. The RxR carried lots of U.S. Mail bags and money and ore from place to place. About the only thing that put people back to work was in 1939 WW2 started and U.S. President F.D.R. decided to (semi-secretly ) help arm and feed the U.K.. U.S. Shipyards and aircraft and automobile plants and weapons and food companies started hiring people that had been out of work for 8 or 9 years. Some years back the RxR companies quit using a Caboose car because they wanted to cut down on employees. Now, once again, theft and vandalism are rampant ( 2022 A.D. )

Anthony Newley was absolutely horrible and abusive to Joan, it's funny there's a hint of it at the end where he says because she won hell take it out of her at home, only a 'joke' but in the context of knowing what he was like, and let's face it, he looks it, it's a hint into his personality. He has a look of Worzel Gummige, the nose, and Scrooge. Let's just say from my experience those types are best avoided. I only watched it for Joan, she's wonderful, intelligent, funny and interesting, her books are a great read, and she's a good looking dame, even now. The blonde contestant on second looks like me somewhat which was amusing to watch.

Lynn Lobliner: A.L. did that as a courtesy to the contestant. She ( Joan C.) was stuck with the "Macaroni" word, and then she ( being British) did NOT know what a "Caboose" on a railroad train was. { Cabooses are not used anymore in the U.S.A., because the RxR companies wanted less employees.} A.L. was trying to help the contestant to win more $.
