I always look forward to your videos and you never disappoint. Just a little late for the Lobsters but you still were able to score with your second choice. Just as a side note, I did find several fruiting Berkely’s Polypore mushrooms at the base of old oaks. Per your suggestion I trimmed off a inch or so of the younger fruit and cooked them up with onion and seasoning. The taste was there but very chewy . I would take a pass on harvesting this mushroom in the future. Thanks 🙏

Thank you for the kind words and yes... like I said not choice. Maybe a soup stock next time? I always pass on this mushroom. Still very cool... especially with how large they can get. Thanks again for the kind words and thanks for watching!!!

Thanks as always for the cool videos. We're supposed to get some heavy rain tomorrow so should be good hunting after that....

Thanks! It's raining now... should be real good on Friday. Don't know about you but I like to wait about two or three days after some real good rain then hit the woods hard! Good luck and thanks for watching man!

Dang I got a bunch of massive lobsters today.. some were borderline, tops weren’t so great on some but the bottoms and stems were firm and nice. I trimmed and cleaned them all. Some had a bit of spores but I also read that’s okay and you can just brush it off. Ate some today and my wife fully puked but I feel completely fine. Maybe I’ll be a bit more picky in the future! Just felt sad to waste because I got like ten pounds probably. All in the freezer now

Sorry to hear about that... I hope your wife is feeling better. It does seem a little late in the season to find lobsters... 10 lbs is a lot of mushrooms, I'd like to find a flush like that in August. I think it's always best to be cautious with wild mushroom and pass at times... anyway happy hunting to ya!!

Bummer you were too late for them. Lobsters are still on my list to find. Haven’t had any luck finding them yet. Thanks for what you do.

Great informative vid. It's one thing to simply I.D. shrooms, but telling when they are prime or past prime can be a whole new challenge. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

They are pretty! I haven't found them yet in So Ms, but I'm a new hunter. A friend that I know in N MS just found a good clutch of Chicken on his very first hunt.

Awesome!! It's your turn now... bet you find some soon. I would think in your neck of the woods the lobsters would start in a week or two. Best of luck and thanks for watching!!
