What is a past participle?
A past participle is the third form of a verb (V3) that works either as an adjective or a verb tense.
Past participles as adjectives
Nobody is going to buy this broken phone.
A motivated man can do anything.
He fought with a shattered nose.
Don’t mess with him; he is a trained fighter.
It will not be a paid task.
He is demotivated.
We are bored right now.
Past participles as verbs (tense)
I have broken his phone.
She has amazed us with her performance.
Jon had broken his car when we reached there.
He will have completed his studies by March.
