Interesting case Dr. Gande! The fact that she was buried in the backyard where investigators had (supposedly) already searched is absurd. That aspect of this case reminds of another tragic mystery; the unsolved disappearance of Sarah Avon- A child who went missing in Illinois back in 1981. From what I understand, years later someone suspected of involvement in her disappearance actually attempted to make a confession on his deathbed, and included a drawing of his backyard- presumably indicating where Sarah was buried. Sure enough, investigators began excavating a small portion of the site. During this operation neighbors who had lived in the area their entire lives and were very familiar with the area, claimed to have witnessed the suspected killer doing strange renovations in his backyard over the years, and attempted to communicate to the police that they were digging in the wrong place. The neighbors were told to stop interfering. Unfortunately, the little of the yard that the police dug up yielded nothing. And the area of that yard that the neighbors reccomended be searched, still has not been searched. Very frustrating

@bluedistortionsАй бұрын
Look into Martin Luther. He invented the modern easy-grace movement. The entire protestant church system is based on his flawed teachings. Edit: I realize this might be a bit vague. The gosple of Jesus Christ is actually quite simple: it is reading his words and doing what he says. If you do that, you'll probably find something you need to change. However, if you tell an elder or a pastor about it, they'll tell you you're on your way to hell for doing what Jesus says. I quit porn because Jesus said lust will take you to hell. This was against the advice of my pastor, who said nobody can stop lusting and God doesn't want us to. Many church people told me I must "repent." I.e., I must return to pornography, and it's non-Christian to give it up. I was totally baffled, until I started studying the writings of Martin Luther. There, sure enough, he plainly says, the only sin that can send us to hell, is trying to not sin. It's quite amazing stuff. The devil owns the church.
@michelegyselinck5400Ай бұрын
@@bluedistortions I think you’re exaggerating. Nobody among the leaders of my church would tell you that pornography is okay. Then again, I belong to a Calvinist denomination, the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Some congregations are more legalistic than others, but we still preach salvation by grace through faith. When you read Luther you have to remember his background. He was a monk who had to spiritually pull himself up by his own bootstraps, and his fear of not meeting God’s standards caused him angst, so for him to discover that his faith was enough was both a revelation and a huge relief. So I think he swung the pendulum a little too far to the other extreme.

I can't believe this killer literally got away with murder. It's scary that there are a few stories of Rotten Pastors 😳 There was that one where the Pastor murdered his wife Karri, just because some hoe turned up at his church that he wanted to *bleep*. This story with Marie really sucks because Marie obviously had low standards, low self esteem and was in a vulnerable position being a single mum turning up at their church. He had a duty of care, failed abysmally at that and then showed that he was just a shallow , narcissistic killer only interested in someones looks and getting a cheap thrill from a f*ck. Not only not a Pastor's bootlace, but not even just a typical bloke thinking with his little head, but actually a cold, calculated killer who had no place preaching spiritual guidance to people. What a shame Marie's family did not get custody of the baby. I hope that the evil Pastor's wife treats that little girl properly given the circumstances 😢

I believe you mentioned the police got a tip that a body was buried in the backyard. Doubtful he called in the tip so did his wife, which provides doubt that she was totally innocent, or was there someone else he was involved with who he told or someone else also involved? Just wondering.

I moved out of one church as there was a couple of “love-starved” women who wouldn’t stop hitting on me. They eventually compromised a couple of deacons and were part of an embezzlement scheme that also involved the pastor and robbed thousands from the treasury.

Each time Dr. Grande reveals these insights into what could be going on in the minds of disordered criminals, the world of vulnerable victims is one step closer to lowering the risks of Domestic V (or IPV) episodes. These analyses erase much of the doubts related to the lies from the bad guys & gals that allows them to assume they won’t be caught, but without raising our fear. I feel educated, informed and empowered: the confidence of safety. This is a net positive for society; a bright spot among the clouds of the old normal. Thank you, Dr. Grande and I can’t wait to see what your wife has planned around your house for the holidays!

Of course not even many but these pastor types seem too often to have outside egos and a feeling of being beyond the normal laws of society!

It's funny how his name's Flanders, like the weird Christian in The Simpsons. What a light sentence for killing someone, especially for a pastor who's supposed to spread peace and love.

Hi Dr. Granda. May I have a question? People with HEAVY magligant narcissism and psychotic traits, how do keep safe from these who pose a danger to society?

Two observations. The cactus is a passive aggressive middle finger. He goes all shifty eyed when saying he's not diagnosing 😅

I agree that the killer pastor deserved many more years in prison. Over the years I've been told "You can trust me, I'm a Christian" which gets my response "No I can't, too many Christians behave like they have a license to sin, so you'll have to earn my trust like everybody else."

Am I missing something? James plea deal was contingent on his revealing the location of Marie’s body yet her body was never found. If he didn’t keep his part of the deal the same had no obligation to keep theirs. The plea deal should have been off the table and he should have been tried for 2nd degree murder and given a life sentence

It’s interesting to think her body wasn’t in the backyard when the police searched it, but James moved it there because where else put the body than somewhere the police are sure it’s not.
