Why do you need to hear a journey.. salvation is a progressive walk with Christ... this is his story, his worship that he is sharing with the world.. and just because someone songs expresses a journey that doesn’t make it genuine.. God knows his true motives and it’s not for you or anyone else to say his music isn’t sincere just because it not saying what you think it should say.. We are all on a journey and will be on one until the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just because he doesn’t express his journey in his music , doesn’t mean he has not had a true conversion.. Your son was so fixed on the production and criticism towards the lyrics that he missed the message in the song. The album was great in my opinion.. The reason he said Chic Fil A was because Chick-fil-A.. didn’t bow down to this culture the company is closed on Sunday because of its biblical principles and the company’s business is based totally on biblical principles instead of following the culture, and even though Chick-fil-A gets a lot of slack and persecution, the company still stick to their beliefs and will not conform to the culture way of doing business..Then Kanye was expressing the same views as Chick-fil-A..coming out from the culture, not being a slave to it, put God and family first... You have to have a open mind to understand that... you couldn’t grasp it because your heart was already critical because of what you believe
@thehonesttruth4155 жыл бұрын
@@taj3grace689 i agree with you. i was disappointed with most of the review. his son kept expecting some "journey", and thats now how you criticize a song. what saddened me was pastor tried to also side with the son on several occasions. seems this is not the pastor's type of music so hes just going with what makes the son happy. kanye even had parts of his "journey" throughout the songs. since they did all the review at once, i believe it ruined the reviews because he expected something throughout all of them. if maybe they did them different times he might have had a change of mind and saw things differently and to look at the song actually for its contents.

@CrazyRaiderRad5 жыл бұрын
I think we need to give it time. I agree that it would be great to hear the journey and back story but I think it's possible since it's his 1st album, he just wants to praise God. Most Christians when they 1st become saved come out with the joy and eagerness to praise and talk about all God has done for them. Then later when they see there's more with healing and going back to open up old wounds is when they open up to their past and give their testimony with the details that people want to know.

With all the lies and corruption in our world Kanye is doing a wonderful thing. I think saying this song is cheesy because you don’t hear his whole story in the song or album is a cheap shot. We should be excited that maybe Kanye can create a revival in this country because the mainstream churches (to which I am devoted member and youth pastor) are not getting it done. Unless he is teaching something that is not biblical let’s not hate on what he is doing.

Something that really annoys me is that people think evolution counters god. I was a Christian for the entirety of my childhood. God can fit with evolution, it's a proven fact that you don't need to debunk for your religion to stay valid, big bang too. Your whole belief system is based on faith, have faith that God has made the universe more complex than what's surface level. I bring this up because in the first bit of the video I saw an article trying to doubt it.

Most Christian music is done in the past tense. For example, I lived this way, experienced these things, found god, and now I’m have lived a certain type of life. The music is made from already being a Christian for a long time, and with the ability to look back and see your testimony and give opinions on it. Which is great, people who listen can learn a lot from that, I mean a lot! But Kanye is coming from the present tense, he is currently in real-time loving his testimony, and is giving a snapshot through his music of his current state of mind and life. I think this is just as empowering and important. Most Christians are judgmental to new Cristians. Kanye’s gives an example of a new Christian. In his album he also mentions how he is judged for wanting to believe in god and trying. I think this album is helpful and empowering to new Christians who are still figuring it out, who want to live for god but don’t know how yet, still learning and learning to live in joy without judgement. Let’s not judge Kanye too harshly.
