Wouldn't you have loved to seen these magnificent animals running free and wild across the plains?
@alicewistrand2102 жыл бұрын
Hi Dusty, it continually amazes me how fast and sure footed the bison are for the size they are. Those red dogs kicking up their heels is priceless. They act like it’s 50 degrees outside instead of 100. The roadways the bison create in the fields reminds me of “Dances with Wolves” when they showed the swath of land worn down by scores of bison. Thanks for sharing, my spirit is always better after one of your videos.

Big Joe and his crew seem to be okay with the move so far! Those little red dogs can run! Straight the pond! Big Joe taking a dip in the pond! I’m very glad that Big Joe is fertile! Dusty, I absolutely enjoyed viewing your lovely property from the drone. Even with the lack of rain, it's beautiful. Once the grass is green, you will have to give us another take. The drone gives us an appreciation of the bison's behavior; even the red dogs gave us a show, they are changing, less clingy to Mom, and more adventurous. At the very end, it was fascinating to see one go for a swim in the pond. You are improving guy, you are providing us with quality videos. Love them and looking forward to the next.

It's great to see them running like they were meant to. You can almost imagine what it was like when the prairies supported herds that stretch as far as the eye could see before they were decimated by careless and unsustainable hunting practices.

Sad to say that some of the slaughter was deliberate. The government wanted to get the Indians on to reservations and dependant on them for survival and so did that by removing their food source.

Loved watching the yearlings take off running and going around the pond ... now that a herd !! The little red dog in the Big Joe herd sure had a sprint of energy ! To fun to watch it kicking up it heels ! I like you are so great full Big Joe has lots of swimmers ! I would like to see a generation of offspring from him ! Thank You Dusty, Marissa and Brookes for caring enough to take him and get checked . Hate he had to go through that , but at least it had to be done to find out if he was fertile or not . And Doc Parsons is so knowledgeable about Bison and glad he shared that with us ! Thank You for a great video and I hope your little get away is very enjoyable !

It is so great that they are so controlled as a herd, running freely and what appears so easily directed. Nice to see so incident free coordinated moves, given their massive strength and speed it is so amazing to not have problems getting all to go as desired. Must be the natural herd behaviour so one directed correctly the rest follow. Thank you for excellent show of these majestic animals and efforts of you and all others in preserving what once were among, if not, the largest animal herds of thiis world.

Love watching the Bison run!! Those 2 Red Dogs were so cute running all around momma's. Talking about breeding, I was at our local Open Farm Day on Sat & visited our local Bison herd: Empire Buffalo, llc. I love watching Big Joe & Dunbar court their ladies, but I got to see it firsthand! So kool how the bull sniffed out the momma (she had an older not-so-red Red Dog still nursing) & started courting her. After momma gave into her baby's prodding to nurse, she allowed it to nurse, then searched out the bull & sniffed him & in a subtle way let him know she was interested. So kool! I also went to Albanese Longhorns & was asking the son-in-law about genetics between longhorns up here & their herd in Texas. I mentioned you & your Bison from up North are a bit hardier for colder weather. He KNOWS YOU! He said he comes to see you! I didn't get his name, just that he is Mike & Ellen Albanese's son-in-law. Pretty kool to talk to someone who knows you!
Never get tired of watching these amazing animals doing what they do. Happy to know Big Joe is able to pass along his genetics. You are such a good steward of these animals helping to preserve a part of God's creation.
