Kate, your speech is such a beautiful example of classic "high-rising terminal" (or the Australian Question Intonation). Every declarative sentence ends with a rising intonation, as if asking a question. When I first started listening, I thought, good grief, did she migrate from Canada, so I did a little research, and apparently this speech pattern is very, very Australian. Maybe not till the final sentence, "... and ends up in our shed", did you end the sentence without a rising intonation. Maybe since that was the end of the video, you finally ended the sentence without a question mark. Loved you video, I grew up on a farm raising chickens and goats, and now that I am retired, after living in the city my whole adult life, videos like your trigger so much nostalgia and good memories of earlier times. Thanks.

I wouldn't call this the typical up speak where it sounds like a question. This is different where she just raises the pitch of the final word. Her sentences don't sound like questions.

I think you're spot on about the lack of rising intonation indicating finality. Ive noticed in my own speech I use rising intonation at the end of statements if I'm not finished speaking. Its like a little 'dont butt in yet' signal which might be connected to it being common in young women.

@@thestuff4321 shrug if you're aussie it's completely normal. being on a camera explaining something is probably making her sound this way more than she normally would.
Somehow it sounds less grating when an Aussie uses it. That said this is quite extreme upspeak!

This very large chicken farm, if in Indonesia in my area, this is a miracle. In Indonesia the land for farmers is narrow and the population is very dense, this is an extraordinary breeder. this good work.

if you give extra chicken feed (complete feed), or how wide areas of land needed for 1000 chickens to obtain sufficient natural food every day? like bugs, grain and crude fiber / plant. For comparison, because I work at a chicken farm with industrial systems. How the selling price of eggs in the market compared to eggs from the farm industry? thank you
@mithvi11304 жыл бұрын
Ideally free range chick should be 200 birds/acre But still its depend on what kind of methords you use Chicken tractor needs 1000 sqft for 30 chicks Basically it will be profitable when you use 2 type of animals in that land
