Most of her songs are in that glass-shattering register yet she belts them out so effortlessly. Pat, you are a true rock goddess!

Effortless is a strong word here, she’s definitely straining on some notes (notice the voice crack on the first lot of no no no’s). Shame cos she’s got a great voice, wished that she could’ve learned better technique back in her day and preserved it abit better.

First concert I ever went to. Saga opened this show. 32 years later I still have a ridiculous crush on Pat.
@scotth23133 жыл бұрын
I couldn't have told you who opened until I read that, but that's exactly right. Saw them in Tallahassee. Get out of the way, 'cause I've still got that crush, too. Actually cool to see her and Spyder still together (at least last I saw anything about them).

One word BADASS!!!! Breakdown.... This is a really odd song to play 'cause you really gotta be focused with all the changes on the chords & scales & I'm a bassist.. I love those "live sexy & demented looks" on the faces of Pat & Neil at the end of this performance. Love that feeling.... No wonder I had a picture of Pat in my locker in High School...BADASS!!!!

Back in the day, (30 yrs+ ago), my original band would throw in a cover every now and then, & I recall our singer's wife challenging all of our manhood's to do 'Heartbreaker'. Of COURSE we made it 10 times as HEAVY, and as it turned out, maybe the fav cover I have EVER done. I'm doing ALL I can to locate a coy and will download it once I do.

watching an interview with Gregg Bissonette and Myron Grombacher picked up a few things and then went AHA, now you had to see Myron before Gregg came out, I did in Derringer and he's wild live, stage presence, standing up playing , long arm movements, he does this wild thing when he wails the snare he lays way back so he dissapears you only see his arms, that's where Gregg got it, when Gregg graduated college and headed to LA he ran into (or stalked) Myron and they became friends and traded knowledge, and Gregg picked up the stage stuff big time

Really, really sexy! No one these days comes close, IMO. Notice how she never looks vulgar or awkward. Sexy is neither vulgar nor awkward! Take note Miley. Pat Benatar doesn't have to bend over, wag her tongue or perform in her underpants. Men everywhere were spellbound.

Pat Benatar is the embodiment of billion watt, focused, polished rock and roll talent. She is sensual but restrained and exudes class and refinement. I saw her on my birthday many years ago in her heyday - it was festival seating and somehow I got WAY down front, only about 15 feet from her and the stacks of speakers. My ears rang for four days after! Her guitarist/husband - Neil Giraldo - is just hell on wheels with a guitar, just fierce. I will never forget that concert. Miley Cyrus can't hold a candle to Pat and she never will.
