In a year where superteams, big-market franchises, and all-time greats with all the accolades were hyped up to leave the rest of the league in the dust, a small-market team with homegrown stars won the damn championship. That's poetic as hell, man.
@imightbebiased93113 жыл бұрын
"homegrown stars" Of the 9 Bucks players who played more than 2 minutes in the Finals, a grand total of 1 has played their entire career with the Bucks. 4 of them were acquired THIS SEASON. 2 of the starting 5 were playing for a different team last year. Meanwhile, 3 of the 5 Suns starters (Booker, Bridges, and Ayton) are homegrown, and 4 of the 10 guys who played more than 2 minutes are homegrown. 3 of them were acquired this season. 2 of the starting 5 were playing for a different team last year. Of the two teams, "homegrown" applies more to the Suns than it does the Bucks, but the label itself is ridiculous. Bucks were bought, not built. The only thing different is that you paid less for your dudes.

Welcome to wisconsin, that's how we do it. Alpine valley is one of the best outdoor venues in the world probably second only to Red rocks in Colorado. Summerfest is two and a half weeks on the lakefront 3 dozen restaurants making their food, dozens of breweries bring in their beer couple dozen distilleries bring in their liquor live music that starts around noon everyday on seven, or eight, different stages, plus the main stage amphitheater (the only one you have to buy a ticket for is the main stage the rest of them just walk and have a good time, admission to the event allows you into every one of those stages). Doors open at 10:00, they tap the kegs at 9:59. Fireworks show every night at about 10:00. And if you think being in summer is why everybody turned out for the Bucks, just wait till the Packers win a Super bowl, and it'll be 15° below freezing and there'll be 20,000 people welcoming home, that stadium will be full 80,000, as well as the streets of Green Bay will be lined with people from all over the state, through the city all the way to lambeau Field (and there's no NFL films movie where John facenda would say something as ignorant as, "the frozen tundra," because what defines tundra is permafrost, tundra is always frozen.) When the Badgers went to the final four around 20 years ago we had 40,000 people on the state capitol grounds, immediately after the game, every bar on and around State Street emptied out and we all ran up to the state capital to party on the state capital grounds. It was 40° so t shirt and shorts weather.

Players are awarded their medals with the captain being the last one, he /she then gets the trophy, head over to the rest of the team and they lift it as a team. Milwaukee, like all cities, has good and bad parts. There are some really nice parts of Milwaukee. The other thing to understand about Milwaukee is that it's a sprawling city. There's cool parts downtown, and then there are cool parts 20 minutes away in one direction, and 20 minutes away in another direction and so on. It's spread out. The people who say it sucks probably don't understand the city layout, or they went to some of the bad parts. It's not a perfect city or anything, but I've been to many other cities that are much worse.

* All places Pat listed bought Championship = All Lebron involved. Lebron plays the game on very easy mode and expects the rewards of those who play on very hard mode. Nobody has had an easier path to success rolled out on a red carpet for them than Lebron. Happy for Giannis and Middleton and the rest of the team...They outworked everyone else and as a PIstons fan I can appreciate that....Not much of that in the NBA these days.

Milwaukee was hung over the next day and every job respected it. Great Day. 👍 Bucks in 6 baby

The bigger question is: WTF was Devin Booker doing the entire game? He blew it! Second best player for the bucks that night…

He was getting clamped by Jrue Holiday. That’s what he was doing.

People don’t seem to understand that that 65000 wasn’t just Milwaukee. Probably more than 50% of them were from other parts of wisconsin. It isn’t just the Milwaukee bucks. It’s the wisconsin bucks basically.

That's not happening. The Colts are winning the Superbowl and IU is winning both in football and basketball this year.

@@kryptoniangod1117 Whoop, sorry everyone, the world has turned upsidedown, The Spice Girls, backstreet boys and U2 are at the top of the charts, Michael Jordan came out of retirement, Peyton Manning will be leading the charge onto OMAHA beach and Brett Favre raised the flag on Iwo Jima. Single handedly. Oh and also the world has ended and the only survivors are 2021 indy colts football team... Yeah maybe.

See Packers, being aggressive in the trade market and free agency can give good results. Also Aaron Rodgers is an NBA champion.
