@rjdriver884 жыл бұрын
As a football player my whole life.... when the kicker misses, you want to kill them. Because all they do is kick. They don’t do sprints in practice. They don’t have to hit in practice. They don’t do anything in practice except kick. That’s where the animosity comes from.

@m.m.30294 жыл бұрын
@@jeremyc9593 It is truly baffling, the idea that a person could complete ANY physical task perfectly 100% of the time is absurd. The idea that they could do so under duress, in extreme circumstances (wind, rain, snow, the insane distances the NFL/CFB Kickers kick from) it means he hasn't though about it critically for literally one second. The reason they need a specialist (I.E. a Kicker) to do it, is because it is so difficult. Hard to believe a person who performs tasks at a high level themselves wouldnt know/understand that.
@jasonreyes65823 жыл бұрын
And ninjas job is to win fortnite games. And he doesn't win every game. So his argument is moot. Kickers have dudes twice their size trying to throw them to the ground and they have to trust that their protection is gonna hold.

I play and watch a lot of Fortnite streamers, and every single streamer - Ninja included - has had many moments where they choked in a fight. Nerves and adrenaline start pumping and you make the smallest of a wrong move and lose. Streamers do this from the comfort of their home, athletes (kickers) have this pressure + the added crowd noise, giant men rushing at them to block the kick, and a loss/miss hurts the teams season. Whereas a loss in any video game you just have to que up for the next game
@thespongemonkey4 жыл бұрын
I will say Ninja is a former E-sports pro, so you can't ALWAYS queue up for the next game, but in his current streaming environment that's definitely true.

And sometimes really bad weather as well. You made the point though, its not just kicking a ball.

Add to that the fact that these pro kickers have been doing it for years since they were kids. Then they’re out there staring down the uprights and are about to attempt a kick that may or may not ruin their entire hopes for a career. That’s some monstrous pressure that a video game just doesn’t compare to.
@johnnycrain81424 жыл бұрын
Matthew Jung The pressure just can't be compared. In Football you have tens of millions of people watching you and tens of thousands of fans present making an absurd amount of noise compared to esports which maybe have a few million viewers and no present audience with no crowd volume. The comparison is just stupid.

Pat may love making fun of himself for being "dumb" but he's clearly a thoughtful and intelligent speaker. The success of this show is no accident.

@jmreeves892 жыл бұрын
I felt he gave Ninja TOO much credit lol Ninja had the privilege of never having to work and could dedicate all of his time to his one game of choice. College football provides the closest thing to that for football players, and of the 1000s of players who get to focus solely on football, 1% make it. Not to mention that when ninja does poorly, he blames rng, changes to the game, etc whereas to make it as a pro football player, it's on you solely.

When you watch a movie do you associate the morals and personalities of the characters to the actors portraying them? Am I saying that it's all an act? Absolutely not but people do need to understand the difference between a person and their online personality when they are streaming. Another keen example of this would be the streamer Dr. Disrespect who has taken on a very cocky and over the top personality wig and all. But then you have streamers that are just themselves and interact with chat In a chill manner such as shroud. When streaming these people are first and foremost entertainers for their audience plain and simple. That's the best way I can explain it and I know this is long winded but it's not really a short topic.

3 days ago I went to the football field with my buddy and his little brother... and decided as a natural athlete I would see how far I could kick field goals from...i kicked the ball 10xs...3 from 25...3... from 35....and 4... from 40. I hit 2 from 25... 1 from 35... and 0 from 40.. kicking is extremely hard and def takes talent to do what these kickers do. I will never throw shade at a Kicker ever again. PURE RESPECT. The pain my leg was in after is another story the past 2 days my mobility in my ankle is extremely limited and and have had a hard time pointing my toes up. @@ethanbaileylol2283 The techniques you just explained are the same for Football. Foot positioning, power, accuracy and style apply to every single sport that involves kicking a ball. Kicking field goals is absolutely NOT easy, I agree with you, Pat! And just because you are an NFL kicker doesn't mean that you can't possibly miss a field goal. Everyone makes mistakes, that is part of being human. Justin Tucker, who is the most accurate kicker in NFL history, has missed a couple of field goals throughout his career. It happens. People make mistakes. Also, like Pat said in the video, there's a lot of pressure on you, which makes it even more difficult. It's like in basketball, when you try to make a free throw. The shot is wide open, but that doesn't mean you are guaranteed to make every single shot. Even the all-time greats make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, that's part of being human! Nobody is perfect!
