Here's another fun tidbit. If you want you can hear Barry before he shows up in the chopper. Simply go back into the room Carlos is in when he's in the control tower. A patchy message will come up with Barry saying he's coming to rescue Jill. I don't know if you read these at all Pat but in case you do for your Remake 1 playthrough at the start of the game as Jill you can get about half a dozen hidden cutscenes by ignoring the instructions and trying to go back to Weskers after you find the blood. Just keep trying and you'll keep getting new cutscenes, as well as an alternate introduction to the 1st zombie in the game in case you didn't know that already.

@@barfjavelin Funnily enough in the LP Pat understands how to line things up and rule out one or two of the three and I think takes only 5 minutes. But on the flip side, he makes one of the funniest gaffs ever by picking up the hospital room key, using it to enter the room - thus discarding it - gets stumped on the push the crate into the corner puzzle, then starts wondering what happened to the key he picked up and thinking he must have not picked it up so he starts wandering around the hospital again.

What's sad is this is exactly what I thought of in comparison. Using A as your "this can only be in one of two positions" then test B & C in their 2 positions in relation to those 2 positions. Heck you didn't even have to hit 'check' till you knew it was right. Since you just have to look through your 'important' positions one by one and see if an error pops up quicker than the game would.

Fun fact: In the final Nemesis encounter, if you do enough damage, Nemi starts to CRAWL AWAY from you, going to the necessary spot for the rail canon. Don't know if it saves time and it requires all of the rocket launcher and tons of magnum bullets, but it feels so fucking good.

The way I work the water puzzle is lining up all the spots with the long bar. Means all 3 letters have to have one pip. Then you break down the spaces. It’s not as hard as people make it out to be.

I don't believe heat is the catalyst for their mutations. It's the removal of the limiter implants and their restrictive clothing that leads to mutations.

The virus accelerates cell division to create new biomass to replace the damaged bits, but with the cells dividing so rapidly, the chances for an unstable mutation increase exponentially, so the multiple forms the player always ends up fighting are less of an intended power-up and more like an unintended side effect of the virus. They just functionally power-up the enemy because said mutation is geared toward mitigating damage in the future either by making them stronger to kill enemies faster, or by making them more resilient to incoming damage.

Because you need the lockpick to open the room with the park entrance key a little later on (as the lack of a lockpick is the only thing preventing Carlos from accessing the park, forcing him into the hospital instead). It just saves you a trip to an item box to start carrying it early.

To clear some things up, the world at large wasnt aware that Umbrella was the ones to cause the outbreak or are responsible in any way. Jill only knows because shes aware of the mansion incident and Carlos was apparently informed, but with the expectation he was going to die super hard. It wasnt until events after the game that people like Jill, Claire, Chris, Leon and fucking WESKER (Who was the one able to supply the most evidence) that umbrella was involved in the incident along with all kinds of other shady shit

Pat doesn't really seem that great at RE games, and this playthrough shows it. He just memorizes things the way a speedrunner does (despite not playing fast) and loses his composure when things go off script. It's why he's terrible at all puzzles too if he doesn't have the exact steps memorized. That all being said, it's okay to be not be so great, I think it just contrasts with the way he'll often act like he knows everything and state false "facts" like the mine thrower bashing. Does make for entertaining viewing though, and I guess that's what matters at the end of the day!
