"The bowgun sucks shit!" **two-shots a Licker with it** Something I'm kinda worried about for the FF7 remake that I noticed in the RE2 remake: much less dialogue. REmake 2 was basically pared down into a bunch of action movie one-liners. Look at Irons' minutes-long villain monologue vs the two half-sentences he spits out before they get chestburster'd in both versions. Now RE2 was always just a simple zombie virus story that's been done a million times but FF7 doesn't have the kind of plot that can be understood if you cut out humongous chunks of it. So... I'm worried.

Pat, the bowgun isn't _that_ bad. At close range it will one-shot zombies, so it's functionally similar to the shotgun. It's not as powerful, though, so *DON'T* use it on the licker because it won't be knocked over like with the shotgun. And it can't pop multiple zombie heads at once like the shotgun.

Hey, Pat, I can never take Accutane because I have Bipolar 2 Disorder and Accutane has a tendency to cause suicidal depression among its (as you said) long list of side effects. I got a prescription for a 0.3% Adapalene gel that I just put on my face before I go to bed. Works wonders for acne and I've not experienced any side-effects (also, it won't stain your pillow/bedding like a lot of topical anti-acne meds do). Might be worth asking your doc about if the nosebleeds keep up.

Only justification i can think of is the diner is on the outskirts of town and most of the population ran to the hospital or police department in panic or fear. Only like maybe 10 people stayed back.

REmake 2 has great gameplay and atmosphere but man the story plays so much better in the original.

Using Chief Irons as an example: in the original he’s built up. He is foreshadowed by a document illustrating his shady history. Claire meets him once and while he’s super suspicious, he’s not overtly hostile. And then he gets an amazingly gruesome death scenes after a big hammy meltdown. He comes off as a larger than life figure and just sells it. In the remake he comes out of absolutely nowhere, his first scene is immediately threatening Claire with a gun like a mad dog and then kidnapping Sherry (whose chemistry with Claire also feels rushed and doesn’t play as well). His deathscene is a really quick and dull chest burst. Every character and plot point feels like this, dropping and going through the motions quickly and dryly and just not having the same charisma as the original. Claire and Leon don’t talk much in the original, but they do still communicate enough to feel like a team. In the remake they barely interact AT ALL. And yet they have this kind of gooey attitude towards each other that feels totally unearned. Remake 2 is not a bad game at all, it’s fantastic in fact, but compared to the original the story just feels rushed and bland and goes through plot points that are just supposed to happen rather than feeling like a natural story unfolding.

With that assumption, they would already know how creepy and shady he already is. But in the remake, i feel he is more like a real life person, not not super overly villainess. But i do agree with the build up and suspense of the original.

The 2019 RE2 didn't replace the original for me like I thought it might have. In my opinion REmake 2002 is the only one that really did its job perfectly.

Agreed. RE2R is a re-imaging of RE4 with an RE2 coating over it. It's ok for what it is, but it changed/removed a lot of elements that made RE2 actually interesting, such as actual influence of the Zapping System changing both the actual plot/progression of the story and choices (if you kill the alligator first time, which shutters you closed in the RPD, the BOW Gas, etc), amongst other aspects that made it enjoyable.

Typically in Leon A, I'll take the machine gun and leave the side pack for Claire. The upcoming boss fight with the G spawn is made so much easier for Leon if he has the machine gun. In Claire A, I usually just leave both for Leon, as Claire's grenade launcher makes the G spawn fight a breeze.

I saw/have played against the Tyrant on the Plane, and the difference between if it is uber easy or not is if you have the three BOW Gases/Acid Rounds when you are in the plane or not... otherwise he can be incredibly unfun to fight against (Nemesis in RE3 is more fair). That and if you don't have at least a full health, around 3 or so during the 'Green Leondaro' Boss Flee makes it generally difficult for most people to properly run from... That being said, Code Veronica has an issue where a good chunk of bosses are not mandatory. Spider, Salamander (and I think the Worm, but I killed it 100% of the time for the Lighter) can totally be dodged by grabbing the key item and just leaving. And the Nosferatu/Alex fights are optional/mandatory sniping gimmicks where it can generally be dealt with by littering them with all of your 300, near 400 Crossbow Bolts (Nos) and all Grenade Rounds and Magnums (Alex) and follows the general formula of "If you have enough firepower and enough health, there is no Boss". Code Veronica generally feels quite unbalanced for a lot of reasons.

I wouldn't say the crossbow is terrible, it's just not practical because it fires 3 bolts at once and its ammo only shows up in a few places.

Aren't the two crossbows different? I thought Kendo's only fired single bolts.

You might be thinking of where Kendo gets killed. Just before the zombies eat him, he panic-fires his bow into the zombie on the right wearing a black t-shirt, but you only see one bolt sticking out of the zombo's chest. In other words, the weapon functions in the cutscene like it would in real life, but in the actual the game it's mechanically a shotgun. But unlike Leon's shotgun, you can't explode heads by aiming up or cut zombos in half. Sadly, even if you could switch it to single fire, in order to kill a standard zombie with one burst all three bolts have to hit. That's probably why most people hate it (along with the ammo scarcity). Personally, I like using it to soften up the big group in the east hallway so I don't have to burn through lots of handgun ammo or precious grenade rounds. It's also quite effective on leaping dogs, so I always bring it down into the basement.
