In all seriousness Miquella is by nature a child of Marika so of course he would probably not be above doing some rather serious shit to get what he wants. Though, that being said, there is a lot less genocide involved… so hooray for the bare minimum I guess.

Maybe the hornsent "forbayed the use of frenzied flame" after marika was already powered up and attacking them. Like they could have defended with it (as it beats the gigant fire golems, and all the tree shit) but they didn't because its too fucked up

I cannot do the messmer fight without summoning the Hornset. His speech in the beginning makes the fight just thematically click for me.

I had such problems with Frey/Sir Anbach's quest. Gave him the secret rite right away. Lost server connection when helping him during Leda's invasion. Died during Leda's invasion because my ash of war threw me over the railing, but he killed Leda at that moment, so I got the rewards without the dialog.

This community REALLY underestimates Woolie. Maybe he isn't LMSH broken sword torch only flawless but he's good at souls games, better than most people I'd say, and he's got a completely overlooked skill in his patience to fight a boss as many times as it takes. He's not one of these new age mainstream souls players he's been with it since the beginning and will keep trying until he beats it with the build he finds the most fun to fight with regardless of the difficulty. Changing your entire build for one boss isn't how most people played these games before elden ring, regular respecs and no main build is a pretty new phenomenon that people who aren't really playing for that classic souls brick wall grind like to use to make it easier on themselves. Neither is correct or incorrect, but the way that Woolie interacts with these games is some oldschool shit that is perfectly valid and if you're criticising him for doing it just know there's a whole mob of assholes on the other end criticising you for the opposite. Just let people play video games lol

As someone who doesn't really mind what Pat's stats are, he really is over-levelled. Saying you're below soft cap is kind of misleading when the 2nd soft cap for most stats is 50-60, with STR/DEX coming in at 55, and FAI/INT/ARC at 50. Most players won't have across the board 50's, so especially with weapons scaling on multiple stats the damage output is going to be crazy. Couple that with a hefty amount of resources with 60 VIT, and 40 MIND and END. Recommened rune level, and likey what you'll be at unless you spend a lot of time farming, is around 170+. At that level, you could have VIT, MIND, and END levelled to that point, but you'd only have enough levels to bring one main weapon stat (STR/DEX) to 55, and only one secondary to 29 (FAI/INT/ARC)((or 44, if you lower MIND to meet the highest FP requirement for summoning)). Once again, don't mean to imply Pat is bad at the game, or that he didn't earn any of his wins - I've exploited jump attack poise breaking and mimic ashes for my entire playthrough - but you have to admit that there's a bit of an advantage here.

Yeah my min maxed 150's character has to be very careful what I equips or go over 70% and my FP is a third of what Pat has and I still only have 55 Vigor to afford what little Mind i do have that I need to actually cast any spells with my 68 Int.

Better that than respeccing for every new weapon to test them. 90% of players stick with one weapon class, Pat has tested every weapon he has gotten and used different ones for pretty much every area.

the other stats being leveled doesnt matter if youre not using them. i went into the DLC lvl 160 with an arcane focused melee build. im now lvl 200 after putting stats into str/dex/int/fai and it's been pointless since my build is exactly the same. with a good enough weapon and mimic you can easily cheese the DLC.

@@fpejanovic In most cases, he is using them however. Many colossal weapons use 3-4 stats for scaling. And that's leaving out his resource stats.
