It’s such a shame the new 2019 edition are terrible and so different from theses beauties. Bought 2 pairs of the current range and returned them.

Damn, just did a bunch of googling and see what you're talking about. That sucks. Seems like they took away everything that made them great (fit, pockets, comfortable waistband.) :(

JustinDoesTriathlon yeah such disappointment. They feel so cheap and thin too. They also took away all the stretchy panels on the side and crotch. They now just feel like boardshorts. Just waiting on delivery of T8 shorts - heard so many good things about them

I've not heard of them at all! T8 Sherpa Shorts? Might have to try! Let me know what you think. That's a really interesting concept and bold claim.

JustinDoesTriathlon yeah the Sherpa, you have to pair them with their liner. I will make sure I come back let you know my honest opinion. They appear to have solid reviews and the two founders are proper ultra runners. Let’s see 🤞🏻

I picked up my first ever pair last month. Loved them so much I bought another LOL Pricey but well worth the money for the quality. Nice review and video Justin

Happy to help! Yeah I used the stereotypical "generic gym shorts" for years, then moved to more basic running shorts of a few kinds, then eventually these. You're paying for the quality and features, but you're getting stuff back too. Couple weeks ago I packed my backup shorts and happened to forget these, so I had to run in those. Not absolute trash, but man I wanted my good ones lol

Quick question Justin! Wondering wether the items in the pockets bounce around a lot when running. I have a small iPhone SE (5s for reference) and I know it fits in the single back zipper pocket but curious as to wether it will bounce at all because I hate that when I run

Heyo! You... might get away with it. Things like gels and such don't really bounce at all, they're great. MY little action cam does bounce. I have a large phone (Google Pixle 2 XL, similar to an iPhone +) and it doesn't bounce, but after about 15 mi, I did get some rubbing on one of the corners of it on my leg from how the shorts moved. I don't have a small phone to test, but I think that your size phone might actually be ideal; big enough to 'stay in place' with the elastic and not large enough to rub. The pockets themselves are elastic which is nice; not just free floating. Totally understand though, also *haaaate* things bouncing.

Hi, can you tell about the sizing? Compared to other shorts brand etc. i am wearing Nike running shorts (small) and they are on the baggy side for me and not a lot of nike xs shorts are out there.

I'm a small in both Nike and these, but I'd say these are a little smaller of a small, if that makes sense. I'd say they run slightly smaller than Nike shorts.

im a fan of the strider too. but the 2017 a wee bit tighter than previous gen. where do you get that colour? it does not listed on their website

Oh is it really? Interesting! Didn't know that. I think the color is gone now. I think they'ye '18 model years (bought them... April or May 18? Ish.) Anyway, yeah, saw the recent color updates on their site and these are gone. :(

@@JustinDoesTriathlon I owned 2015 and 16 gen. still excel on my running days. the 17/18 gave me horrible chaff on ultra run, liner is smaller and tight on the thigh compare to old ones. the sizing is half size off. yes you will loose the string on first wash. the front drawstring could get a world record for how short they are
