The structure being: 16 bar hook, 16 bar verse, 16 bar chorus, bridge, 16 bar hook. It's similar to what people have done on the past but he perfected the under 3 minute song and influenced music. Most popular songs follow the same exact or similar structure to ensure their song has replay value. Most songs are at 2:13ish - 2:40ish for duration and the XXX song structure maximizes what can be done within that time frame to keep listeners attention and to hook them to replay it

@@alexgrant311 the chorus and verse aren't 16 bars there are both 8 he just repeats the chorus twice the second time and its not a bridge its an instrumental break, and the chorus, verse, chorus, break, chorus structure isn't unique, its a pretty standard structure for most songs, D Rose by lil pump uses basically the same structure its just wasn't really needed in most soundcloud era songs since they weren't as long as before, look at almost any shorter soundcloud era song and the standard is 8 bar chorus, 12-16 bar verse, chorus. X just lowered the bars in the verse to loop the chorus and had an instrumental break because he didn't write a bridge, and bridges also weren't uncommon
