As someone who likes fighting dragons on foot and actually learned how to completely dodge Elden Stars, I think adding the option was defo the right move. It makes sense thematically too, considering he's our companion for the whole game.

@@technicallypsycho5370 I wouldn't call them undodgeable. If I remember correctly it was patch 1.05 where they mode changes to how Elden Stars works. Right now it's possible to avoid all damage by running in circles on foot and dodging when the Elden Beast attacks you. It's hard of course but it's not like Waterfowl level. But either way while I personally enjoyed learning how to deal with it and enjoy the fight overall I understand people's frustrations for sure.

So if no hit speedrunners saw those series of attacks get performed tgey'd instantly restart the run. Basically made the whole run RNG at the very end. Elden stars just by itself could be dodged yeah.

The spectral steed thing might be fixing the strat people would do where they fall out of bounds while on Torrent and so long as you do a mounted R1 you won't trigger a falling death. And while you're falling the area you're in deloads so it kills anything that was alive in the area, it was really useful for cheesing Mohg and doing different PvE rune farms

The mimic veil bug was caused by using mimic veil while having equipment with sound nullification (black knife chestpiece and crepus' vial) that caused your player model to overlap with the object you were disguised as. It made for some funny invasions on my stealth build.

Yeah, I can only assume that nerf exists because in PvE it could carry you through NG+ but they have to understand that at a certain point that's almost the ONLY thing carrying you through NG+ because defense reduction values and HP pools are utterly ridiculous! We can't help it if Bloodloss being the only damage type that actually scales up with enemies naturally is a problem, they made it that way out of the box.

Action queuing issues are an engine limitation. That’s why they’ve been around so long. It’s not something they can easily fix without a larger rework to how the game handles multiple inputs in sequence. Not saying they shouldn’t do it, just saying it’s the kind of change to expect from a new game, not a patch.

That can happen if you have certain mods active, if cheat engine is open, or if you run elden ring without easy anti cheat. If it's none of these I recommend restarting your PC, and if that doesn't work you may need to either verify the integrity of the game files on steam, or reinstall the game completely if nothing else works . As for console, I have no idea what could cause it to happen there.

I'm really happy about the storm hawk nerf but then again I've had a (probably unfair) hate of it since this time I was a phantom fighting an invader in a 1v1 and I was actually beating his ass and he hit swapped to storm hawk and L2'd which stunned me and basically one shot me since I got hit twice ans counter hit. I felt like it was really cheap and a shitty thing to do since we were having a solid low level fight and I guess they really didn't want to lose - but my grievance aside I can definitely see how this might affect invaders in a bad way. Gonna be interesting to see how people adjust

This is actually a sad change for me, because this was much faster than farming a trash mob and giant bird and after having fought Mohg plenty of times, I'm kind of just sick of dealing with him. If From Software wants people to fight him fairly, maybe make him not "area denial the boss" and actually fun to fight. We'll figure something else out eventually, this was probably a good idea in the end, but it is a little too bad because it was a great way to just access the DLC fast and get a ton of runes for leveling up quickly.

Seeing the nerf to Mohg Spear makes me less happy, that was only really good in PvE, it's too easy to dodge in PvP, especially after the AoE nerf.

TLDR, invaders have lost more of their already limited "get off me" tools and gankers can spam rot breath even harder. Why am I not suprised? Also, arrow rain has been nerfed but they compensated by buffing bows and light bows, but not greatbows. Without arrow rain greatbows are just worse ballistas. Hopefully they add a golem greatarrow vendor so you can at least use them without wasting hours farming that one giant outside of the dectus lift.

Objectively, it was still one of the best weapons, but... I mean c'mon, what weapons are gonna worth fighting for if you keep nerfing them all? How about buffing some of the supposed "Legendary Armaments"? You know, the ones that according to the lore SHOULD feel power?

Yeah, they also nerfed Mohg's Spear which was pretty much only good in PvE and helped carry players through NG+ because it could deal with the massive HP pools and increased damage reductions. No-one wants a half-hour long boss fight just because you can't damage it enough to speed it up. Also, I don't understand people so invested in how someone else plays their game. If someone wants to just stand still and hit one button and they find that fun, what's the problem? It doesn't make you look better just because you're jealous someone doesn't HAVE TO play the game way you do.
