The reason for leaving Mohgwyn Palace out of the distant pool is so people don’t have to constantly slot in the gimmick crystal tear for the fight. It was just something you either had to always slot in your physick or take a chance and end up wasting a bunch of flasks during Nihil. Also, wow. Blasphemous Blade just got nerfed so hard. I don’t know how bad the nerf is just yet, but I imagine it might be downgraded a level to make an opponent stagger backwards and fall rather than being knocked down

I mean, Daggers completely hard counter Colossal Weapons and Colossal Swords, and are also pretty good tools to use in the offhand for many weapons in the game to get in extra chip damage while your opponent is in hitstun from your mainhand weapon, those are not excuses for nerfing them but Daggers have a more concrete place in the meta than most other weapons. Axes and Torches needed some buffs way more, in my opinion. Also, a Poise damage nerf to a weapon type that does negligible Poise dmagae isn't that much of a nerf, to be honest? When the numbers are already so low, making them lower doesn't really change anything substantial, they are still going to be used in the offhand to get in free chip damage.

However, a vast portion of the player base - myself included - enjoy playing the archetypal Rogue character, where dual wielding should be a viable option where they're not simply outperformed by any other weapon type. It's not that the daggers cannot be made to work, because they can, but it's just a bit frustrating that you basically need to gimp yourself big time. It requires so much more effort to pull it off successfully, and there's rarely any incentive to go for dual wielding daggers as a rogue character when virtually all other weapon types have better reach, damage, poise breaking, and so forth. I know they have better speed and critical damage, but it doesn't really make up for it. At least in my estimations, and this is what most dual wielding dagger players will tell you. Again, you can use two daggers and make them work if you create an entire niche around it (such as by going for full on bleed and using the weapon art that makes your attacks uninterruptable), but it's rarely enough to just put a dex or bleed affinity on your weapon and just slash away. Ever since Demon Souls came out, Fromsoftware has consistently made daggers (one of) the worst weapon types besides critical hits. And it may be true that it's more realistic that it doesn't have much use beyond that (I mean, of course a sword should do more damage), but I don't play fantasy games for them to be realistic. The daggers have the movesets and the aesthetics to cater to Rogue players, so why not just make them a little more up-to-par with the other weapon types, like so many other fantasy / RPG games manage to do? Anyways, hope that made sense. And I hope, one day, that daggers will get the spot they deserve as viable primary weapons.

After a few days playing like invader, for me it’s like more difficult to win a single invasion, moonveil nerfed but is like OP and so easy spameable if u are 2vs1 or 3vs1 like 100% time. No stormhawk, u need like waves of darkness swap or black flame tornado but not as efective as stormhawk. A very broken L2 AOW of weapons dlc, blind spot, double knight axe etc… Colosseum is instead more L2 than before DLC. Maybe its me lack of skill, but I won more invasions before dlc. And I fucking love pve of dlc, such a masterpiece.

They had already hard-nerfed dual wield weapons status buildup, which is the primary thing they are used for. Dual spears neutral r1 is slow ASF and can be reaction rolled. So can the running r1. They eat stamina like no ones business. Dual straight swords with Endure are far, far, far worse, because they hit like trucks _and_ swing faster than the full moon cycle required of other spears. Decreasing hyper armor frames only made Colossal weapons even harder to actually use effectively. Then they buffed the poke of the serpent spear, despite it being one of the best weapons to use that for in the whole game. They nerfed good weapons into bad ones and buffed other good weapons into even better ones. You don't really make sense bruh, their balance changes are literally all over the place lol

@@theninja2k14 That's sht. Btw I've just found another good replacement for it: Spectral Lance AoW. It works the same damage with the pre-nerf Blade. I usually only need 1 hit to stance-break giant dog (and birds), and usually 2 hits to stance-break dragons.
