Thank you PatchStop for featuring Tripp (and the other machine operators in your other videos) that sew the patches onto the garments. Those working men and women need as much recognition as possible for the hard work that they do to get all of those great patches out onto the road, and in most cases, it’s a lot of work in a very short period of time. Ever notice how many folks just stand around and watch the patches getting sewn on at your event booth? Some may be waiting for their patches to be sewn on, but others are there watching the talented machine operators. CD in Oklahoma

Thank you for this video I have been sewing patches on leather more then 20 years I wish I had of known this a long time ago. I purchased the spray glue you use. I still sew on year number and patches on varsity school jackets leather sleeves. I have done about 50 since i bought this spray glue after watching your video. It works perfect just tacky enough to hold the patch and does not gum up my needle or catch my thread. I stitch on a Singer 20U sewing machine I also sew them on A Consew 206rb

@@jessealeman7952 I bought it from Amazon it is called "3M Super 77 Multipurpose Permanent Spray Adhesive Glue, Paper, Cardboard, Fabric, Plastic, Metal, Wood, Net Wt 16.75 oz" the can I purchased on Amazon said "Industrial Grade" on teh cap. it was 9.99 a can I bought 2 cans. They have sellers now selling it for 25$ a can but Amazon also has another can for 9.99 not sure it is the same. The main problem I have with the large can is the nozzle clogging up I think I mostly solved that problem with a pill bottle of alcohol when I finish spraying I remove my nozzle and put it in the bottle of alcohol and before I use the nozzle I very carefully take a quilting pin and clean out the nozzle hole and rub the spray top with a cotton ball with alcohol. That is what has worked for me I am going to search for new nozzles since my can is still over half full and I have used it for 2 years now and done more than 100 patches.

@@jessealeman7952 One thing I forgot to mention. I use it for holding Year numbers to a leather sleeve and also patches to leather vests. It does not bond them permanently, Be aware if you have to move the patches there is a residue left behind on the leather. I have not found anything to take that off the leather I dried rubbing alcohol because it seems to keep the nozzle from clogging but it does not remove the sticky residue from the leather. one last thing I searched Ebay today and did find replacement nozzles for a very reasonable price Just do a search and they should come up.

Great job on the video. Hope you’ve had much success in the last 5 years since you posted it. I have a question. I’m a Marine Corps Iraq Veteran and I would like to do a similar set up with both top and bottom rockers. I’ve heard it’s frowned upon by MCs to use both rockers or 3 patch set up on the back. Would I catch any issues for doing this setup myself on my vest?

The rockers are usually used by MC’s, but as long as you are not putting an MC patch you should be fine. You may get a couple looks but it’s just to see what it says lol.

My step dad is sadly about to go on dialysis. When I first met him he handed me a leather jacket. My first. From that day I've been his son. He is a great man, was a mercenary for a few gang (I wont mention out of respect) for 30 years. He has a golden heart. I been thinking about applying a huge patch dedicated to him. I have no idea where, or how, or if it's even possible to attach it. Can you send me a few pointers... or if I can even pay you I'll part with my jacket for a few weeks...

I making this to honor what happened in Vegas back in October, as my fiancé was was there. The top rocker will have name of the venue the center will be an orange awareness ribbon that I'm making myself. And the bottom rock will have the date. The forth patch with have one of the popular hashtags that everyone has been using saying # countrystrong. The front will also have an orange awareness ribbon
