It's absolutely true! The only reason why I like Nautilus is because it sits well on my wrist (I like flat watches) and pleases me aesthetically, and I only like 5726, the rest are not for me. If anyone ever handled, let's say, 5711, they'll know it is a flimsy watch and very light.

Friend of mine is an owner of a Rolex AD and at one point in time his family owned jewelry store also had the Patek dealership as well… and he told me many years ago something along the lines of exactly what you said here in this vid.. and it was no hate of course because he was literally an AD of both - but he basically explained how he could comfortably wear his Rolex watches and just live life accordingly where as when he’d wear the Patek sport models he’d always feel like he had to watch how he handled it much more carefully and also always said how flimsy and delicate his personal 5711 felt in comparison to his favorite Rolex’s - even still, we both love the Patek brand and watches and I personally still plan to buy one but yeah this is very true stuff!! To put it into simple car brand comparison terms you can think of it as the Rolex models are like a bmw M3 as to the patek sport models are like a McLaren.. the McLaren is way more prominent -- and it’s also the way faster and so on of the two, BUT you cam beat on that bmw M3 all day long and it wont fail or disappoint you, where as if you drive that McLaren really hard it’ll be throwing codes and go into limp mode before you know it to JUAN - I think it is time you give us a state of the collection video please! Your Daytona and 5711 are such classics and two of my favs!

I get that refinement is their thing but I wish Rolex could spend a few million on the odd new design. It just seems to be the same watches every year - a mm smaller here, a mm larger there, ceramic this, ceramic that, this one on a jubilee etc. And then there’s the ones you can only get if you’re Roger Federer, Roger Federer’s wife or Ed Sheeran. I am totally agree! Everyone wants one of Patek Philippe. After years of collection on Watches. Finally got a PP 5726a, no long owning for a year, and found that all about PP is a cheap watch. Can't really seeing its value on it. So, decided to switch out and keep AP & Rolex with better quality watches.

It's long been known that PP movements for all their high quality decoration are remarkably fragile. A Seiko 7s26 is ten times more robust. Drop a PP more than a couple of feet onto a thick carpet and you'll be facing a massive repair bill. Unbeeeeleeeevable but true!!

It is comparable. At least, Aqua Terra and Speedmaster 57 to Datejust and Daytona. For the divers, I'd say, not quite (design wise).

@@santiagograciano8402 As two comparable sports classics in the same league, Moonwatch and Sub are the ones to compare. In 2004, the Moonwatch was a 1,8k watch grey, the Sub 3,5 grey. Since then, quality (bracelet build etc.) has been upped on both. Both are highly industrialised products (highly automated production, geared towards quantity). General level of quality (finishing, etc.) is on a similar level. In relation to their respective market prices, you will receive more of a watch with the Moonwatch. Although, also the Moonwatch feels over-priced for what it is (affordable, robust tool watch with a little sprinkle).

@@santiagograciano8402 Have a bunch of both divers and chronos from both brands so, let’s put design a side, as this is individual. Seamaster has a better movement (smoother as butter) ceramic is same same, bezel click and function is better on Rolex, bracelet is better on Rolex, clasp is better on Seamaster (yes I know some will lose their 💩 over this comment) case finish on Seamaster is incomparable better, the original rubber Seamaster straps is great (no option for the Rolex) hands and hour indicator maybe better on Rolex, better dial on the Seamaster. Don’t really know what Omega to compare my Rolex with the 3285 movements with, but what I can say, is that setting day and date on these, is not something that feels special or even nice. My favourite and go-to GMT is my E2 Polar. It’s difficult to compare the speedys to the Daytonas, as their are many models. I have the 126515LN and 116515LN choco. I don’t fine that Omega has any substitute for theses. This is mostly down to design. The Daytona has a slimmer design for their automatic chrono, which I prefer. Have yet to purchase a auto Speedy. When it comes to manual watches in steel and other materials, it’s a no contest win for me to Omega, and I see no appeal at all for the SS Daytona. My Apollo 8 is probably the Watch I have which gets the most positive comments. As much as I love my 116515 Choco, there js not a watch in the Rolex range I would trade my snoopy for. The AquaTerra is Is on par with DJ’s However, I don’t think Omega has something in that range in two tone that is as nice as DJ in two tone. The Rolex OP is on every way inferior to the AquaTerra. Omega has no substitute or match for the Rolex DD category. Strictly non sport watches is in Rolex favour for sure.

I would agree with him about the nautilus line, you hold a stainless steel nautilus in your hand and you'll think, "people pay HOW MUCH for this watch??"...but, there is absolutely nothing cheap or poorly-made about their complications and grande complications timepieces, that's where Patek really flexes their watch-making muscle
