I used to live where I couldn't easily access groceries And almost never got to get restaurant food. Eggs last a lot longer than the carton date: they're fine for a month or six weeks in the fridge. Groceries also sell a half carton of eggs. I didn't like dishes, so I made a lot of one-pot meals, where only 1 pan gets dirty. Soup's are easy to make in smaller portions, you can store them in the pot in the fridge, then put them back on the stove to reheat or microwave single helpings. Also, freezer meals have gotten pretty good; lotta trash, though, so bad for earth. But easy. :)
