The hard part is teaching people to sell all the extra currencies they have. Plenty of people are sitting on a ton of runes plus other stuff they can put on alva and just sell right away for more exalts. Then they take the exalts and buy more divines. People just have a harder time trading because the trader experience isnt the best in this game. The currency exchange helps a ton but people arent really using it a ton.

​@@Travic_ That's actually the best tip on how to get even started. I did the same and got a decent amount to start with. I even bought a ring just 10 mins ago which I didn't correctly calculated since I was in my ascendancy and had completely different stats because of boons. Didn't consider that. Did my trial until the last floor yesterday and wanted to get back today and completely forgot about the boons so the 20 exalted orbs I just payed are wasted. But by now it doesn't feel as bad as it would have before I sold everything I don't even use. Still a fucking dumb thing I just did but it doesn't hurt that much anymore 😂 Just sell everything you don't really need. Make use of the bulk exchange if you don't have premium tabs which you should have because that's the best invest of the coins you get by buying the game

Started in the same spot just play the game 14 ex is fine, buy pieces 1-2 ex ea, balance res and chuck as many good stats as you can for budget, play end game and before you know it you have 10 div and 60 ex n upgrade, I just got my hands of wisdom, just play the game you'll be all g end game is where all the juice flows

You can make those explosions by using herold of ice and herold of lightning alone. You just have to use herold of ice to proc shock and herold of lightning to proc cold. Super budget way to make shit go boom.

@@MihailTirdea on herold of ice I have magnified effect lightning infusion and innervate and on herold of lightning I have glaciation ice bite and long shot . I have quite a bit of elemental damage on the passive tree and my staff has. 315 physical damage 192 lightning damage and 64 cold damage. Oh I'm using ice strike as my primary damage source. I was using this long before I got the polcirkeln ring. When I got the ring though shit goes wild but it totally works with out it. The lightning is harder to proc so do what you can to bring out shock with your other gems. Hope This helps!

Thanks to your videos I was able to find a beginning crit transition staff that doubled my damage for 30 exalts I think. Comparable ones were 1 Div also and some were worse actually.

I invested in a lvl 77 quarterstaff with raw physical damage and pretty much nothing else. 500ish max dmg. Cost me a Div. Grind all day to get the final levels in hopes of going from 9k to 20 (maybe 30??). Imagine my surprise when I barely got 12k out of the weapon after finally equipping it. Lesson learned: you really need multipliers like crit, crit dmg, ele dmg and speed to exponentially increase dmg. It was my only remaining Div. Tomorrow I’ll play something else.

Pro tip. Set up a second weapon set with a mace and a focus. on that focus get +50% increased energy recharge rate. Then use your weapon set passive points to claim any increased energy recharge rate you can on the skill tree. Instead of 2-3 seconds of slow floating for health. Literally 0.5 sec to go from 0 to 12k energy shield.

Just get a set of high attack speed gloves. I had some gloves with 16% attack speed and I got very lucky when the breach boss dropped me the howas on my first kill of him. It actually wasn't a huge upgrade from my original gloves, only about 15% more damage.

The problem is 100 percent me, I just can't get it balanced well with my gear, I'm just venting. I've had a real hard time getting good drops in the endgame map and just dying. And the blue shield for health was working great then all of a sudden insta kill and I still had a shield bar. I'm trying to fit some rarity gear but clearly my character isn't great and that stat is not helping. Great videos BTW I watched this progress from the beginning. Started great for me till after the exploding monk setup then it just went to pieces. Just seemed to go from fun to hard work. I actually went and worked on my day off to have a break from working on poe 2. Crazy 🤪

Without pob we don’t have a definite answer. My best guess has been crit bonus soul cores. I’m sure there’s a breakpoint somewhere but what it is I’m not sure. Some people do phys some people do wed and some people do crit. All I know for sure is crit bonus scales to the moon on weapons and is pretty massive

If we crit we penetrate enemy and boss resistances giving us overall more damage. 808 might be hard to beat but ignoring resistances also hard to beat. It’s a toss up without testing

I think one of the reason why you get more return while not prioritizing weapon dps is you are already using HOWA which gives a decent amount of flat dmg. For many who don't have it yet or doesn't want to use it, weapon dps is still king. Crit chance/dmg will add unnecessary premium on a starter weapon while not providing the best bang for the buck. And spending first div on this unique without HOWA is also quite questionable. On the flip side for someone who has HOWA. I wonder why not just go pillar. You already have morior invictus and ingenuity. Ofc without POB it's hard to theorycraft and compare whether going crit or attributes is better.

Theres is plenty of ways to get flat damage though, rings, gloves etc. So HOWA helps for sure but flat is king and unlike poe1 theres not a lot of places on the tree to get it. I do agree though that all this theory crafting could come to a crashing halt once we get POB and know for sure.

crit chance i believe is not calculated. especially for monks i think the stat is getting undervalued by some since we have a nice ascendancy node that ignores non-negative elemental resistances upon critting. then again maybe i understand that completely wrong, so feel free to correct me :D

So, I'm fairly close to this build though I've deviated in some areas due to personal taste and just not having any currency. I just started t12 maps last night, and just of curiosity I threw on the Pillar unique staff even though I don't have any of the Stat stacker gear to match it. Even with 1/3 of the sheet dps it still wrecks everything and the bell handles anything it can't. The build is basically a detonate dead build, it's damage is based on enemy hp so as long as you can kill one enemy you'll still pop the whole screen. Seriously, don't change anything to match it and just run in with the pillar, just use your normal gear give it a test. Pillar is 1ex.

I'm sure it's not viable without them to against "Boss" bosses, but I'm on t12 map quest and have done a couple of 15s with just basic ass gloves, and not white maps either, I been pumping them full exalt when i have the extra and corrupting them, with the double corrupt atlas node. My gear is terrible, the damage of the build is based on the health of what you kill like I stated, all you have to do is be able to kill one enemy and everything explodes the same as any other weapon with or without the gloves. TBH the full build doesn't need the gloves at all, it just makes it more fun. Edit: it doesn't feel any different than my 500damage staff until I hit tanks rare monsters, but the bell still insta-gibs them too

One thing I have noticed is that attack speed greatly inflates the dps number in the skill menu but isn’t it a little overrated if your one shotting anyway?

Matters more for bosses. Your third attack deals essentially double damage and with crescendo you're doing a 2-2 cycle with your double hit. Sweet spot is around 6 aps which is 4 small and 2 double on first rotation and then 2 small and 4 double on following rotations assuming you hold down the attack. Higher attack speed also allows you to build up freeze faster, which makes you not need to invest in freeze buildup as much. For general mapping, a staff that has higher max hit would likely be the play for more chain explodes.

For clear mostly yes it is overrated. It does give you quicker reaction time to mobs rushing you but not required. For bosses however attack speed is very valuable. But for sure crit and damage are more important.

It does, but we're all not sure how much it is. The tooltip is not a good indicator because it doesn't count a lot of our conditional increase dmg from tree so I think Ele dmg is not that good (but we also have a lot base lightning dmg from gloves so who knows) The crit seem to be the best one for bossing since we ignore resit with crit (some boss have 75% res)

Because things need to be frozen and not everyhting is frozen for example bosses. You need to be able to get them frozen first then you do damage but since you have to get there first critting and ignoring resistance is better

Keep all your higher item rarity items and level a character with them. You will get at least 1 divine each character. Use those divines to buy your main character what you are lacking then farm with your main character on mid tier maps with higher/increased item rarity.

If you already have a 400+ dps quarterstaff, that unique is a downgrade. Cuts my damage in half. Not worth a divine unless you are using the energy return affix.

Need +5% crit and then physical damage % and flat physical would be nice. Elemental is not needed but if you find that on it too then great. But 5 crit, and physical increase %, is what's necessary. As high as pdps as possible. Find it as cheap as possible. All other modifiers are icing on the cake
