So glad you have put out variants of this build idea, I made a deadeye version and it ended up pretty similar to what you have setup here but especially the gem recommendations when unable to reuse support gems is very helpful. I was surprised how nice it felt, overall better than my much higher investment LA bow build with the only downside I noticed being the loss of evasion meaning mobs stunning me more, which you addressed here. Looking forward to whatever you put out in the future

I had an idea I wanted to try, maybe you might be interested to see for us... I was curious how Deadeye Lightning based Spiral shot would fare (with either the budget or howa stat stacking setup, which would have to differ slightly to accommodate frenzy charges possibly). It uses the Deadeye frenzy passives to stay juiced. Single target could still be shockburst, or the 1 shot snipe setup, but snipe sweet spot currently feels so bad so I would stick to shockburst. Edit after studying the tree this idea might work but it looks like its trying to do too much at once as it'd want to grab Savagery, Frenetic, and Fervor for the plus 4 Frenzy charges and may need Unset rings to accommodate Combat Frenzy at the least. However I think it could still work with adjustments or anoints, it may or may not even need the extra frenzy with the amount of damage Fearless build can already provide. Just need to test it

Hey my guy, thanks a lot for this build, I've loved every single second using it! I'd recommend using Wake of Destruction boots for the bossing, it makes enemies near you permanently shocked and adds some more dps to your build! So you dont constantly have to apply shocked effects to the bosses.

What are the advantages of witch hunter over deadeye? Witch hunter seems to offer about 30-35% more damage (against bosses), 5% decimating strike, 5% cull, about 25% based on concentration. Deadeye meanwhile offers tailwind which is massive, point blank, and endless munitions. Please correct me if im missing something, but doesnt the extra projectile nearly double the damage? It fires 2 shots per click.

Congrats!! I love it !! i changed to this build (before i used your fresh clip gemlin) but i die a lot. Now i have a little less dps (28000) but i tank a lot. 75% eva and 2000 ES. Im using ingenuity belt, and orange gem metamorphosis to have "escape velocity" is amazing. In my amulet in have "all natural" (+5 all resis & +30% elemental damage).

I was just about to quit the game after rerolling my build for the 3rd time and spending a lot on it only for it to turn out to be sub par at best. Yo thank so much for these builds you saved my enjoyment of this game this week I kept trying new things and having build depression, just from not vibing with the set up or skills or w/e, and so all of yesterday I leveled a new gemling finally after deciding to try your builds. Leveling Galvinic early game felt bad without peak twink gear (what do you personally prefer to level with gear and tree wise early game?), and it didnt really come into its own till later, but once I found enough decent gear, and kept respeccing to keep min maxing what damage and AS nodes I could grab all at once IT TOOK OFF. Mid way through normal galv started eating every pack in a clip even in group scaling. And then it took off even harder once I got shockburst. I've never had a skill melt bosses in seconds like this (normal and cruel campaign mind you not in end game yet). It felt wrong, I'm not even buying gear yet lol. And not even stat stacking yet. Fresh clip shockburst might be the most broken skill in the game right now. I'm having so much fun joining random pub groups right now that are asking for help and watching them react as I burn their boss lol Tysm for continuing to refine and expand! I vibe so much with this build. I can't wait to see more from you.

Great guide! 4th iteration of Lightning Witch Hunter I've played so far and by far the best both offensively and defensively. I was running your gemling guide on my witch hunter and it felt pretty squishy without the big mana pool. Now with the big evasion it feels amazing and so tanky! Also for the gems my sheet dmg is better for both galvanic and shockburst if i run primal armament in shockburst and martial tempo in galvanic. im on 5 links for both gems though so idk maybe with the 6th link (fresh clip) martial tempo will do more than primal for shockburst?

@@LuisP-pd6en I always use Decimating Strike, then switch between Sorcery Ward and No Mercy depending on the situation. If your Intelligence is high enough, I recommend instilling Insightfulness on your amulet-it gives a significant DPS boost. For mapping, I use a Megalomaniac Diamond Jewel with Sand in the Eyes, and for boss fights, I switch to one with Overwhelm.

On Galvanic shards, I’d swap out the close range support gem for the one that allows 40% of your projectiles to chain an additional time from terrain. I’m not positive, but it seems like ALL shards, including the forked ones, have a 40% chance to ricochet off a wall & chain to an enemy.

Hey man, sick build !! swapped from explosive shot and its so far the best variant for witch hunter I played so far. But what is confusing me is the passive skill tree on mobalytics, I am same level as you and I dont have enough skill points like you. I have all the points from campaign but still have less than you on same level. How is that possible ? Are you 100% sure, the one on Mobalytics is the same as your in-game ? Hello, want to say, this build really keeps me alive which is I needed since I tried all builds but none worked properly, always got one shot somehow. Just want to share something if you dont mind. For use both curses; Voltaic Mark + Conductivity - because they overwrite each other - you can also take "Whispers of Doom" node which is already on the way in passive tree in this build ( top of passive tree, on the line we go through left). So with this, we can use both Voltaic Mark + Conductivity, which makes us way stronger. Thank you for build again, keep up to good work 👍 edit: You dont need Whispers of Doom for stacking both, my mistake.

Glad to hear! You don't need Whispers of Doom to make Voltaic+Conductivity work together, these work differently than in PoE 1 and Marks do not count as curses. You can freely use both.

Sure, here's what I have on the witch hunter: Rings: 49 / 32 int Helmet: 21 int Boots: 25 int Howa gloves: 25 int Amulet: 32 + 21 int Belt: 0.71x rings = another 57 int 7x +3 All Attribute nodes: 21 int 41x +5 Int travel nodes: 205 int Ingenuity+travel node (top of the tree): 33 int Enchants on 8x Jewels: 56 int All of that multiplied by 1.35x from 10% attributes (Polymathy) and 25% attributes (chest) == 778 int I've partially torn it apart to start on my next project, but I think that's close to the right configuration I used in the video. I may have had one or two more Int travel nodes. EDIT: I went back and checked some other recorded footage and updated the above to the correct numbers

Hey, thank you! I've been following you since the Poison Grenade Guide, which helped me a lot when I was new to the game. Recently, I switched to a Howa build since I have a bigger budget now, and I find crossbow builds more fun. However, I’m struggling to find a setup that suits me. My main issue is that I’m stuck with a Sorcery Ward, which has ruined my stats because I’ve heavily invested in rarity find. I think this build might be the solution I need. Since I’m planning to remove sorcery ward and focus fully on offense with the Ascendant path like this. *want to ask about the jewel socket, what should I put currently use something like 1x% damage x2 with aspd 4% x2 any cheap timelost jewel suggest?

Also highly recommend giving Plasma Blast a try with hourglass, scattershot, lasting shock and overcharge. Allows you to deal massive damage to start the fight while shocking to easily finish off a boss with shockburst rounds after.

Plasma Blast is ok but the channeling nature of the skill means you give up the entire ramp of Shockburst, which roughly halves your damage.

I know it also would kinda work without HOWA but basing builds on items you get by killing the final boss assumes you got a build that can farm the boss already. I would like to see more builds that are leading up to killing them instead of relying on killing them

Unique-based builds rely on trading rather than killing bosses, which is why ssf builds are made with the "all-rare" itemization mentality

@@meltdown4126 absolutely, but as an SSF player seeing new WH builds pop up all requiring endgame items is frustrating. Its not really difficult to make a build right now using HOWA at all

But if we're talking more generic builds, you can and should try making one yourself - not gonna oneshot pinnacle bosses but you'll get there and likely get the HoWa you need at some point. The only thing thats really a problem is applying shock to bosses which is solved by stormcaller arrow bow in your other weapon set.

Yes: The way I shop for jewels is prioritize ONE stat with an enchantment and look for at least one other good mod (like %inc damage) for cheap. %Increased Evasion OR Crossbow reload speed OR Shock magnitude are the best mods, then I add a second filter for any enchantments with dex/int/str Then I scan the ones listed in exalts. Usually I buy them in the 5-15ex range. Good secondary mods are lightning damage, projectile damage, elemental damage, crossbow damage, shock duration, generic ailment duration

It's not a black and white, imho. I think if you are focused on doing really hard map content WH will be better. If you are focused on spamming bosses Gemling will be better at a similar budget because it will have a higher max hit and better mana sustain. Probably the setup with the highest ceiling is Gemling but not by a huge margin. I've done the hardest content in the game with both builds at this point.

Any thoughts on using Doryani's Prototype with Ventor's Gamble with high negative lightning res? Of all the builds that has felt the best to me allowing me to ignore any lightning penetration nodes in the tree for more defense or damage. Also acheving max fire/cold res from the rings alone makes it extremely easy to hit max chaos resistance.

I played a couple variations on Doryanis for a couple days as a gemling and it’s literal paper. The best option is Acrobatics but the reality is there is no solution for the lightning res with armour in its current state and I was playing it with a massive ehp pool. Some bosses that have lightning based attacks if you don’t one shot them are extremely dangerous and I don’t like dying. My experience was also that the loss of stats from rings/chest weren’t worth the -light res damage wise. With similar gear I was doing 11-12m dps with Doryani and 12m without. This was with very good rings too, it wasn’t like I was trying to make scuffed gear work. I’ll maybe revisit when they fix armour.

Um, Gemling probably but not by a lot. I've also only played a few days with the Witch Hunter but a few weeks with the Gemling so I haven't fully given them a 100% fair shake. Take it with a grain of salt, it could be you can scale Witch Hunter better with budget.

I've been using Branching Bolts. It was around 100ex last I checked. If that's too much, get Fork in your Galvanic Links and you can use a utility annoint like Step Like Mist which is only a few exalts but still a really great value.

This may gonna blow big soon. I just bought the whole build, it did cost 40 DIV and its like half-ass done, lame items, with random jewels, my SB pulse DPS is 306K so when you are going to do full vid, really just say budget 80-120 DIV.

I'd recommend trying to get to 300dex, 500int as a place to start. Only as much str as you need for gear. After that I'd pile on as much int as you can get.

You are my hero… I was using three dragon explosive shot build, can’t even beat Lv.2 breach…. But now my shock burst dps 3X higher than it used to, but still struggling beating Lv3.3 breach. I’ve using the same gloves and armor with you, 120STR, 300D, 420INT but still hard….😢

Bombard is the best base, by a lot. Highest APS and lowest reload speed of all the endgame crossbows.

Love the build. I have kinda same build but budget(10div worth). Tried everything for defense but now i just stick to winddancer and blink as i still get oneshot with either sorcery ward or grim feast(700es) .Blink helps me get out of packs. Saved me bunch of times. I’m clearing t15 breaches mods now but have to be careful. Once i farm more. I’ll try to follow this.

I’d start with 300dex + as much Int as you can pile on. 300/500 feels really strong and every upgrade you get after that will be noticeable.

Where do you get your mana regen? Not sure what I missed for you to have 81.6 mana per sec while having MoM. Jewels?

No, I don't have any mana regen on jewels. Mana regen scales with mana pool size, so the bigger the mana pool, the more regen you will have. Virtually all of my mana regen comes from a 3k mana pool.

It’s explained in the video in the description. I only swap off of it for a second to apply Shock to pinnacle bosses so I’ve effectively got the evasion nodes all the time

Hey! My shock aura on the boss when I deal it even with voltaic mark or the curse wont get past 55, theres a lot of difference between 55 shock to 95+ shock and how should I balance it ? To be honest my DPS numbers are higher than yours in the video so I think Im doing something wrong because I cant delete t4 xesht, I can make up for it with jewels somehow ?

100% shock is a substantial damage difference from 50%. Shock adds %Increased Damage to the enemies which (I'm generalizing here) is a multiplier for your damage. I stack a LOT of shock magnitude on my tree and have prioritized single hit on my bow (I spent 10ex on it, its not expensive) and high flat lightning on quiver. If you still can't reach 95-100%, Shock Magnitude on jewels is excellent and probably one of the best value mods even though it doesnt change your sheet dps. It will also help with mapping as Galvanic applies shock too.

Level 76 means you’d be missing a lot from the passive tree. Small things add up very quickly, even on gear. Do you have int on all your jewels, for example?

Yes, the weapon swap sets allocate a LOT of shock magnitude which increases the size of the shock. I also have one jewel with Increased Shock Magnitude, and I am using Voltaic Mark on the boss which when qualitied to 20% gives 45% more effect of Shocks.
