Bear in mind that while the support gems do alter the way the skill works it generally adds one aspect and detracts from others or hinders as well. It’s a balance issue. Best in mind that as the support gem “levels up” those detracting aspects are lessened. For example: in the case of the multiple projectile support you show case the skill now fires 2 additional projectiles however those projectiles now do 20% LESS damage and 20% LESS attack speed. Those last two aspects are lessened as the gem levels and or quality is applied to the support gem.

So bad info. The supports no longer level like the skills. Sorry for the misinformation. They do however scale with gem “quality” which makes the Gemling Legionnaire’s notable granting 14% quality to all gems extremely attractive.

Just so anyone knows, Ive learned the hard way and wasted quite a few support gems trying to test things out. Make sure youre paying attention to the KEYWORDS when trying to make combinations. For instance on lightning bolt it has the keywords “AoE” and “Lightning” so when cutting a support gem, try to find something that matches the keywords and thats what will make it compatible. Lacerate inflicts bleeding but has the the keyword “Physical” therefore it will not work

I think you over-simplified Support Gems. I was cutting one for Wall of Fire and was given a choice of 3 to cut. Yet later I was able to place other gems into Wall of Fire which had not appeared in the original choice of 3. So why was I offered only the 3 choices initially?

One thing to point out from the recent stream footage is that it seems like you'll only be able to have 1 of each support gem equipped at a time on your whole character, not just per skill. Unless I'm seriously misremembering or that's already been rolled back. That's going to make it interesting trying to decide, for example, which of your bow skills you want to put that LMP on.

Playing early access now and it says "you cannot have multiple copies of the SAME support gem socketed at the same time" so maybe your comment is misleading. Seems you can multiple support gems socketed as long as they as different from each other 🤷🏾‍♂️

Jeweler orb adds more slots to be able to equip support skills. Starts to drop somewhere in act 2 and 3

Put a skill gem in, minions disappear. Take a skill gem out, minions return. It was making sense until this morning and I realised I don’t know what the fuck im doing.

One of the support skills activate by taking 100% of your life from a minion. If your life value is more than the minion's is then it might be killing them outright

I have a gem that says the skill have a 50 percent chance to generate jagged ground, which I put in my Shockwave Totem, but I never seems to generate any jagged ground, anyone is having problems with this one?

On support gems, I dont understand "Support requirements: +5 Dex (0)" then I equip it and it says "Support requirements: +5 Dex (10)"
