Really like this build, but the one thing that's painful at low levels is bossing -- they kill your minions and you end up kiting like a maniac waiting for them to respawn. I found that grabbing Essence Drain and supporting it with Arcane Tempo really helps for that.

Skeletal Snipers actually have the highest burst damage for single targets like bosses. You just spam there skill then the boss just instantly dies.

Cross, 30+40 does not equal 90 spirit. That's 70. You can round it out to +100 Spirit across both campaigns by also hunting down The King of the Mists in Act 1 Normal on the map Freythorn. He'll also give +30 Spirit.

Pro tip that really helped me out: When you get your first Ex orb to drop, go on the market place and but a scepter with +3 to minion skills. Doesn't really matter the other starts unless you want some more spirit or survivability, but I found a ton of them on the MP with +3 level minions for

Nice build, I've expanded a little on it and using incinerate as well as solar flare to really up the fire damage .. I didn't think to make the little skulls explode so that change has really helped. I am definitely seeing an improvement in damage. Maybe I'll share my build for those who are hovering around the 30s? 😊

If you want to do good damage early damage without relying on minions you can do Chaos damage setup with contagion and escence drain. It feels real good and once you can get enfeeble with the support skill giving 60% of your intelligence as damage over time is even better. You just run around enfeeble + contagion for near instant kill of enemies upto the count

Minion instability does not work with Raging Spirit, because they don't exist long enough for Infernal Legion to tick down enough of their health to drop below 35% (low life), and nothing else can attack them. Or em I missing something?

With that all said, I agree with your points but I'll like to present some further points: Firstly, GGG have buffed Osteomancy, which means that All in on the Bone Zone like in Diablo 4 will be potentially viable soon as Witch, which also means Blood Mage Ascendancy won't suck anymore, as Blood Mage is specifically focused for Osteomancy/Chaos build as opposed to minion builds as it is the only way you can get bleed from the current starting location on the passive tree, that is if you want to go the route of bleed with Osteomancy. So if you want to do that, you can, it is just not something I'd recommend trying out until the next major patch, which will be in January, so in roughly 3 or 4 weeks after the devs resume development and have the next patch up. But, first we need to see if the changes make Bone Mage actually good enough for end game, we have to wait and see. Secondly, as of right now, I'd still Recommend Witch for all in on the Fire Mage builds using Infernalist... for now as a stop gap. As opposed to the Sorceress. The reason I say this is because despite the fact that witch is obviously the choice for full minion builds, because the Sorceress currently lacks her 3rd ascendancy which is focused on fire damage as it isn't in the game yet, the only choice we have for being a fully committed fire mage is to pick Witch and her Infernalist Ascendancy for the fire related stuff. However, she is more "make corpses explode and flaming skulls" than "Fire Ball and Raining Fire and meteors from the Sky" I mean you can do the latter, but it is suboptimal for Witch. As the EA progresses and Sorceress finally gets her fire Ascendancy, she would be the superior option as I'd imagine it'd come with benefits like her other two ascendancies, benefits such as bypasses fire resistance, such as her other ascendancy bypasses lighting and frost resistance.

If you mean trial, well, you're in for a treat, you need to complete not one, not two, but THREE Trial of the Sekhemas in a row, one after the other. I can see why people are charging ridiculous amounts of exalts for the privilege of being carried, for both it and the 4th trial which is 10 Ultimatums. It is frankly pathetic, if you lack the strength to carry yourself, you're not ready for it. Plain and simple. Not sure why people care so much, wasting currency on such things, considering this isn't a challenge league and we won't get one till release, what is the point in completing things if we don't get free cosmetics? There isn't and I don't see any reason for it, I however see every reason to push this game as hard as we can and see what we can do, so it can be balanced. Truth is we're buying into being guinea pigs so the devs can QA without hiring QA and gather meta data, metrics and balance the game according to how they want us to run in their hamster wheel for our own entertainment. I say, if you enjoy the game, just enjoy it. The only thing we get from EA we can brag about is basically the paid EA supporter packs, that's it. So buying into EA tier 2 or higher you've already got everything you'll get from the current game. Use this opportunity to enjoy the 3 current acts and if you care about the game and GGG report any issues you come across. Have fun Exile, Login!

I went infernalist minion for my first character and wasn't a fan. Found myself just holding my shield up and casting flame wall, occasionally detonating spirits. Don't get me wrong, it's a great build. Excellent for people who want a passive build. I rerolled for a physical damage blood witch and have been having a blast. Way more active.
