A: I'm planning on Frost Blades for clear and Double Strike for bossing until I swap to Cyclone around Act 5, depending on mana. Q: What should I buy first? A: I'm planning on picking up The Stampede, so I can swap from Cyclone to Cyclone of Tumult. Also get the extra annoint. Q: How much divine will each version cost? A: No clue with meta shift. Starter rare gear should be easy to craft or cheap to buy, The Stampede should also be relatively cheap (maybe 30-50c first few days, at most a divine). But I could be wrong and underestimating the demand, this is off the economy numbers from the last two leagues(Affliction: poe.ninja/economy/affliction/unique-armours/the-stampede-assassins-boots and Necropolis: poe.ninja/economy/necropolis/unique-armours/the-stampede-assassins-boots ). Ryslatha's Coil will be expensive, be prepared to farm currency for this. You'll use it forever though, best in slot.

Yes, I've made some adjustments and some of my custom configs were off for originally estimating the starter build damage. I think 5mil+ should be great though for starting out.

I am doing it this league start and would highly recommend newcomers avoid melee in general. This build is very dependent on gear and has a lot of complicated swapping of gear/passives/gem links as you unlock certain things. There's a fine balance between survivability and damage. Overall it's not the greatest league starter but does have an easy playstyle once you can get into it

"none hit the mark" you know why? cuz skill itself didnt hit it xD you lost attack speed with cyclone from totems and trying to play inferior build overall, ok, shockwave will deal damage, but why use shockwave cyclone if there's much more superior skills damage and clear wise with less investment? that same sweep, it is 3 times better(damage effectiveness wise), why not play that? it has better aoe and damage as it always did lol.

Cyclone of Tumult is now 6 mana, not sure you'll have enough to sustain as it is not updated in POB yet.

Just a heads up: Maim as a debuff does NOT increase physical damage taken. The support gem does, but the physical damage taken part of the support gem is not part of the Maim debuff. Nice build, been looking forward to play some good, old Cyclone.

I mean they go for about 20c at start flat at 40c mid last league, count on 60 at high end which is easy to get in sanctum or heist early on and they arnt like T0 rarity chase items. You just use normal cyclone until you get them. Not a disqualifier by any means in my eyes

Im looking into this build and trying to make some upgrades between mid-crit and endgame. Thus far, going into large cluster with material prowless and feed of fury into medium cluster with pressure point and percise retaliation seems good. More over i saw cool tech to deal with low physical def. Im not sure how it interacts but jewel lethel pride kairu at least in my pob gives around 30% more phys def. Only problem with that, the jewel is replacing note with stun immunity(unwavering stance) and gives Strenght of blood that is responsible for massive def boost but at cost of leech. I don't know how much that leech debuff is impacting survivability and how to gain stun immunity other way or find another spot in the tree to replace another note.

Update, there is a nice spot for jewel, replacing iron reflexes, it cost 2 skill point to get there, but it is worth it for sure. If less leech is not a problem, with that i still dont know :/

Lvling trees are in the POB, I plan on running Frost Blades for clearing and Double Strike for bossing during campaign. Will prob switch to Cyclone around Act 5, depending on mana. I'm most likely going to use regular Cyclone until I pick up The Stampede.

I have lvling trees from 16 to 100. You can use multiple items in place of the ones you listed. Death Rush won't be expensive, Coil will be though. Crafting a 600-700 pdps weapon is also relatively easy. That item set is what you're aiming for.

I played this last league and got void stones with it in SSF. Cluster with fortify node is huge. And i used cane of kulmak as my first good weapon. X_aek in ssf necropolis if you want to check it out

Alright so all i do is test and validate buids.... mainly content creator builds. I have done two Slayer cyclone variants already this league along with my starter that i keep off to the side just incase i need to farm up some fast currency. Each league i usually end out approx 18 builds and most builds get to 93'ish. This gives a good feel of what the builds can do and if they track what's been sold so to speak. I took notice to how you carefully path while leveling and that peaked my interest. I am cruising through lvl 44 and so far this has been the most OP build thus tested (3.25) and is quite fun. if a build is feeling good and the power is there i tend to do first lab at 24-25. This one did that no problem. The power is there and defenses are what we can expect since the tree is not fleshed out yet and we are subjected to the gear we get.... though i do use the bench to shore up resists where able. This is a fantastic build thus far. I will be looking to see how or if it plateaus a bit coming out of Acts and into mapping as the phys version did. So far I can't praise this enough.... this guide hits where it's important. Often we get guides/vids showing the end result but it's very often other guides fall short showing and explaining in depth how to get to that point. Already, the detailed notes makes this one a winner. I'll will update later if there are any issues but I have a feeling we will be just fine. Keep up the great work~!

You can go sunder, I'm currently testing leveling with frost blades and double strike on standard. Swapped to Cyclone in Act 4 but had to take the old mana leech nodes on the skill tree. Should be better with new tree cause the mana nodes are closer to where we start.

I would strip sockets and take back a few nodes based on your personal preference to scale it back down to 90. I don't always hit 100 myself, but I almost always get to 95-97. That's me though.

I will probably adjust those once I lvl the character in a few days and get a better feel for progression, but they represent the smoothest progression I'm planning. I would use Frost Blades for clear and Double Strike for bossing - I'm planning to switch to Cyclone around Act 5, depending on how mana feels.

I would go with the best phys dmg staff you can craft, Cane is great too starting out with the right rolls.

I'd have to put together a whole new build for those requests. I probably wouldn't play this as Gladiator, you can get explosions a number of different ways without picking that ascendancy, I just haven't done it in this build (crafted chest, flame/flesh jewels, banner notable on passive tree, unique flask, etc).

It's fine later on but I don't want to be farming blight past week 1, but for that first week it's fantastic. So unfortunately, even though this looks great (you did a good job on this seriously), I think I'll be going maw ignite elementalist so that I can hit dot cap and offscreen explode lanes in blight all day for super easy money.

No clue about prices since the whole meta is shifting and melee is going to be popular. The Endgame version is going to be several hundred divine though (mageblood, progensis, etc). Definitely can do all content (T17s, Uber Pinnacles) with Endgame version. I'm anticipating being able to do T17s with just the Midgame version also, might have to make a few adjustments.

Scaled cyclone shockwave super hard a few leagues ago. So you’re not going into cluster jewels or forbidden flame/flesh? I recall gaining like 20% more dps from the jewels.

I plan on doing updates. If your POB has the most recent update there shouldn't be any changes. Getting the 2 extra points is slightly different now, but yes you go for the 2 extra points (I think 1 is from killing all bandits, another is from a quest, can't remember at the moment from patch notes).

What's the point of building defences if your character will randomly die 1/3 of the time due to 0 spell suppression and complete reliance on block? I don't understand all these staff cyclone builds, swords look much better, with excellent suppression and much less investment in utilities.

Am I misunderstanding something or is this build unable to function? Because in the POB, you have 12 unresrved mana but the cost of Cyclone of Tumult is 37 per second. Do you sustain it with leech? Sorry, kinda new to PoE

Yup, I've fixed the POB to account for the mana cost since they updated the app to account for the proper Cyclone of Tumult costs. If you refresh the video and pull my new POB it should have the mana cost back down to 0 on the Starter and Midgame crit convert versions. The Edngame version is still heavily a work in progress.

I included some lvling trees leading up to the lvl 100 starter tree, so there’s a lvl 90 one you can compare to the lvl 100 crit tree and make the necessary changes. Off the top of my head I’d prob the physical wheel at the bottom tree to respond into crit passives

Nice build. I'm pretty sure that there's a bug with PoB where it doesn't show the Less movement speed from stages of Cyclone of Tumult, so in your endgame setup, without The Stampede, it shows that you have 160% movespeed, but in reality with 6 stages of Tumult, it drops to 4%. Can see it by adding a custom "60% less movement speed" line, and you can confirm it by removing the Cyclone skill gem altogether, you'd still have 160% movespeed. With this much attack speed you could get a way with just leap slamming around, but it feels quite bad.

I was testing with regular Cyclone at some point and haven't swapped things back around. I'll need to fix that later when I get home from work. I expect, overall, the endgame version to be in constant flux. I got max block on it now (88%/88%) but I'd like to scale the damage more.

It's about 2.7-3.0 radius according to POB, so larger than regular Cyclone. It's not going to cover your entire screen though. Working on increasing the radius is something I'm interested in, but I'd rather have defenses scaled more. Could be a tradeoff.

On the starter version, we use Disciple of the Unyielding on our Stampede boots which gives us charges from kill. On the Midgame and Endgame versions, we use the notable Smashing Strikes which gives us charges from our crits.

The defense for cyclone is high hp pool and instant leech. The only time you should be dying is if you're in a boss fight with adds and immunity fazes so you can't leech and them die.

Starter gear should all be relatively cheap to make or buy, with the exception of Ryslatha's. For the Midgame conversion you're going to need some currency, the staff alone will cost around 7-15 divine to craft or buy outright.
