It's hard to price and sell items in an economy based in items rather than currency by itself, adding people who like to underprice or plainly scam other players makes it even harder; finding stuff like this video is an enormous help to us players who (with or without too much experience) want to buy and/or sell items at a fair price, thanks Ziggy, you are the best

That was maybe your most helpful video for me, when it comes to pricing. Because I'm unexperienced with trading, I know life, resist and these stuff are valuable but dont know much about how much is needed to be valuable, what combinations, feel insecure about it, never knowing if I'm pricing too high or too low. Seeing how it's done give us much more insight, also realizing that even an experienced player dont know for sure the prices, and the suggestion to not worry to much about under pricing, cause if you sell cheap, it will give u experience in return, while over pricing can give you nothing. Hope you can bring more videos like this, showing how it's actually done =)

felipeahonorio Yeah that's it man, you have to just start by chucking some up and seeing what sells really! Building confidence in pricing and trading is actually a big part of it. A sale, even under priced, is currency + personal experience! Better than just vendoring!I might do a video of ID'ing general loot shortly since this one seems to have been helpful for people!

This is probably old news but you can also hold ALT and mouse over an item and the item level will display inside the item properties box (instead of typing /itemlevel in the chat window)

If I may add a request! Can you do a related long-tutorial about 5 -6l crafting? What would you do if you dropped a low-level but 5l item? And how to proceed if you drop a GG plate with only 1 socket? Do everything on vorici? Is there a min/max threshhold between rng-trying and paying vorici?

***** Hmm interesting idea. Would be hard to do a longer video on especially because it's not something that comes up often. If I find a white 5/6 link chest I check the price of the base linked on poe.trade then I usually chuck an alch on it for the off chance of gg rolls. Then I usually just sell as is. I don't bother with weapons at alland rarely sell linked weapons unless they are an endgame base or are gg rolled. I never vorici craft 5 or 6 links, it's more economic long term to craft them yourself.

Ziggy, don't forget that your Master Crafting tables probably aren't maxed level, so that later on you might be able to add certain mods. I think %Eva/Arm/ES are 1 ex or something later on.

Hi Ziggy, I have a question in regards to Righteous Fire. Initially I thought I will be fine if my max fire res plus life regen percentage is higher than ninety, but as of right now at 3700ish life, 84% fire res and about 8% life regen I have to rely on flasks to keep going. I'm not sure why the 8% life regen does not out heal the 6% RF damage.

KpopNoodle YOu can really compare the regen to the % remaining. You have to calculate your life regen per second compared to your damage done to self per seconds. Remember that inner force (and the 5% buff effect from Templar) also affects the damage done to self as well!

you need about 10% regen from tree and 88 fire res ( 1 from tree, 3 from purity, + rise) running one atm and still regen some life

DEo Lian Yeah 60+ because thats when you can use it in chaos vendor recipe. However, I pick up all rare jewellery, occasionally lower level rare jewellery can be usable.

DEo Lian My jewellery crafting guide hasn't really changed in 2.0, the same thing basically still works well as people always need decent jewellery. And only keep your lower level jewellery if you think it's good enough to sell or if you might want to use it to level another character later maybe.

You should refer to pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Item_affix instead of poemods since the mods are a bit outdated (new tiers available) also, you should check on masters and see which ones could provide you with a decent prefix/suffix of course exalting will provide the best rolls but it can also roll low ones, which, for beginning you may craft in order to get around rather cheaply

question about prismatic rings: does it make a difference to have an implicit 9% all res to a 10% all res? I know is a 1% more but to me it doesn't seem that huge difference...

I agree with you that it doesn't seem like much of a difference, but if you've got enough rings to get that 1% for no extra cost you might as well. Every little bit helps.

It's the case where you might as well get the perfect implicit because you can. And if you view it as a % of the total amount a 9% roll is 10% off perfect. Some people also like to vaal the prismatics that don't roll well and for that you want a perfect implicit as you cannot change it once it corrupts. Nothing worse than a GG ring with an imperfect implicit!

I used to hoard all of my good leveling weapons when I first started playing, but found that I've been able to self-find upgrades for an early character easily enough that it wasn't worth the stash space. It comes down to RNG though. That being said, unless it's a ring that would be good for low level dueling you're probably better off vending for alch/alt shards. Just my personal opinion.

Sell them all and if you ever need something to level it'll be cheaper to buy it later with the currency you made. I never really need to use leveling jewellery though, I can usually find stuff that is good enough, especially if im using some other leveling gear like goldrim.

I love PoE but I personally struggle with selling stuff and also setting up a shop so i've never really fully invested into it like I have with other games like Diablo 3. Just feels like it's hard to sell stuff. Also would need to spend some real life money just to get extra stash tabs playing without them is near impossible. EDIT: I was literally just offered for someone to buy my wow gold, TLDR; I swapepd it for PoE points and now I have 1200, how many premium stash tabs would I need to get to start up?

the method of alcing jewelers is ok but you need 75+ itemlvl to be worth so the problem is finding maps 74-75+ and be strong enough to run them properly most of people i know are stuck with 70-72 for the rest of their life

This is why I feel Poe is slightly p2w as the stash tabs are really important for this and also to keep well-rolled items to sell to players. With only 4 stash tabs, I never keep good items for too long before trying to sell them. All I do is put them on trade chat for a few minutes and sell them if no one replies. Chaos and regal recipes and mass alcing of accesories also is very difficult with only 4 stash tabs. One tab for currency and flasks, one tab for gems, one tab for leveling or good items that's good for all builds, and I intentionally left a last tab for chaos recipe which is really not alot. I had to put all my unique on high level broken characters as my free stash tabs :(. I am not sure about the price of buying stash tabs but I am not intending to spend any money on any game so it's sort of my problem as well.

+makingjames Understandable, but know that GGG is able to update the game with new content because of the financial support of its player base. None of this would cost money if they charged everyone $40 up front, but F2P games always come with some caveats if you expect to progress efficiently. I bought some extra tabs, but only when I became really interested in PoE as a game, and the massive fun it is to lvl and trade. I decided it was a worthwhile investment to support a game I greatly enjoy, and honestly, 20 bucks for 6 customizable tabs isn't much to me. I do understand your pain though! At least PoE is a game that you can progress to late game through found items alone, and not some blatant cash grab like many F2P games out there. You just need RnGesus on your side.
