The lack of stable's sorting by difficulty was unironically the biggest thing that made me avoid lazer, as minimal as it seems. Hearing that it is now in lazer is amazing news for me! Keep up the great work guys!

Same - I'm a casual player, so I just set my SR selection to my skill range and play everything that's here - since doing that in Lazer was nigh impossible (or requiring way, way too many clicks and a cluttered interface), I just never been able to enjoy Lazer apart from a quick testing session here and there.

@@Fakedis don't think so since custom speed rates have different difficulty multipliers now from 1.1x speed to 1.02x multiplier, 1.2x speed to 1.04x multiplier, 1.3x speed to 1.06x multiplier, etc.

@@napsy27 If you can do custom rates, is free pp If I play the words i never said at 190 bpm it would be relatively ez for me and a fc would be 500pp with good acc (my top is 440). The thing is that if they do rank different speed changes prob they would be like x1.25 or x0.87 but not any custom ones, there is a reason why things like blend S, gate openerz and maps of the like are just loved, if you can just put the bpm you feel most confortable with in any map and get pp people would play katagiri's sendan life at 180 and be their top plays, i wouldn't like that pp meta

I’m not sure if this has been fixed yet, but as far as I’m aware the current pp calc in lazer is still broken and I didn’t see it mentioned in the list of things yet to fix.. Basically, the game tries to calculate pp using the max combo from stable, but lazer doesn’t count slider ends into the max combo. So every score that has sliders in it just has a slightly lower pp value atm when set in lazer.

I keep forgetting to ask, is there a reason HP in Lazer is so much more lenient? As someone who mostly plays for passes, seeing Lazer hp10 feel like stable hp3-4 (iirc) and passes being generally meaningless is concerning. There's a chance the version I have is just outdated, though I'm pretty sure I've updated it in the last month.

As someone who has been exclusively playing on lazer almost since day 1 I have gotten very used to sorting by difficulty and having every difficulty under 1 header was super convenient and organised. This update made searching through my collections by difficulty quite annoying as it's just way more cluttered. Thankfully a new design is on it's way so that's great to hear. hopefully it'll be implemented soon. Apart from that, very exciting news! can't wait to be able to set scores on lazer.

I think both sorting methods should stay in as ways to search up beatmaps depending on organization. The new way is great for finding difficulties of similar SR and is good for transitioning standard players, but if you want to play stuff from a certain song/mapset/artist, the older lazer method i think is better suited for that

As I switched to linux I had no other choice but to play lazer and… it’s pretty nice. I don’t the same area as i couldn’t get open tablet driver to work so i use the built in one, but it’s fine. The only thing that is annoying are the following: - it’s now a rhythm game (ok on a more serious note, sliders leniency is gone and it’s a struggle to get accuracy, unless you use the mod to restore old gameplay from stable) - skins are a struggle, they’re not compatible with lazer and you can’t edit them it’s a struggle (if anyone want to recommend some good skins feel free to do so) Other than that it’s really good, I just prefer a more sober style so I still prefer’s stable UI but I’m like that for every game, maybe making an option to remove all the over the top effects would be nice and just have a very performance specific setting that disables all the bloat effects would be appreciated
