I feel that when SEGA and Nintendo were doing there console war stuff back in the 90s it felt like the companies and fans were actually competing with one another and it made some fun stuff. Console wars now are pretty much just the fans yelling and flailing there arms around until they get attention while the companies are just watching, it feels like. I know that the feel of the controller is important but, from personal experience, the only kind of controller that you really need is one that has Hall Effect thumbsticks/joysticks because they really do make a difference in the long run. No extra buttons, no fancy lights, just a controller that works is all that is needed.
