This is the path I’ve been looking at for months. Yes I’ve spent over 300 hours in character creation. I haven’t made it past because…choices. Can I start say a bard or rogue and that be compatible with trickster? Is there a class/multi class that is prime for taking to the mythic path of trickster? This is how I felt with the job system on final fantasy tactics back in the day. I like being overwhelmed but I don’t wanna gimp myself with bad decisions early in the game to be screwed by late game. I have adhd just in case anybody is curious how it’s possible not to make it past character creation.

Personally felt the trickster part very underwhelming. Most of the "jokes" were: alcohol is funny. Kinda wished most of the mythic quest was somewhere in the line of the Nocticula prank that comes at the end.

Another neat synergy for completely normal spell and scroll based prep casters (wizards, witches, arcanists, ect) is that they can use it to get early access to any spell that you find a scroll of. If you find say a level 6 spell scroll you could write it in your book, write it again with completely normal spell as a level 5 spell, and cast it with your 5th level spell slots at level 9. It's essentially the sponcaster+ring trick but for your entire spell list, and without the casting time increase because you're a prepared caster.

Taking greater vital strike doesn't work on its own thats true but if you take Rogue (Rowdy) that provide Vital Strike it will work and also give Sneak Attack die and most important 2d6 per sneak attack die to Vital Strike.

Just imagine if Completely Normal Magic worked together with the "Favorite Metamagic" mythic feat. Unfortuantely, it doesn't, though it should, it IS a Metamagic afterall.

Yeah, sadly a lot of the new metamagic feats are missing from Favored Metamagic. The most amusing part about Completely Normal is that at release you could actually turn even level 9 spells into infinite use cantrips!

Question about the Athletics Mythic Trick. If I read it correctly, if your Athletics at Level 20 is 20, you would have full 20 BAB for Average and Low BAB classes like Cleric and Sorcerer? Does that mean you get the 4 attacks at Level 20 as well for those classes?

Yes, you can actually get 20 BAB with Athletics 3 for any class I believe. It can certainly be useful but at that point in the game I'd rather have UMD3 for the Wizard Spellbook for most classes. And if you are already as Sorcerer/Wizard, you can just cast the Transformation spell for 20 BAB. It does block you out of spellcasting but has a low duration so it's not an issue, and I imagine if you wanted high BAB you'd be playing a Fighter/Mage tier character that just self buffs before battle and then attacks when battle actually starts.

Yeah, I realized that later, since Perception 1 pretty much does nothing. Which is why for all my other builds that have Trickster (and there's quite a lot of them) I recommend going with Arcana 1 at M3.

That isn't a "Large" Beer elemental, it's a "LAGER" beer elemental. As in Lager Beer. By the way, do you know what the "Another Stupid Advice" things that pop up in your crusade interface do? It says it will be handled when I go to my council room, but when I do, nothing happens. Do you have to go to your council room as soon as it pops up, and using the click button on the card to get the actual event?

You're right! I actually missed the double meaning, haha. For Crusade Events, some are different and require you to actually solve them through (with usually some time spent) others are just notifications but you do have to go to your "throne" room or talk with the NPC required for the event.

@@cRPGBro Thats what three of them appeared to be...they say I have to go to the "Throne" room to talk to someone, but there's no one there when I actually go. I'm thinking maybe those pop up at the same time as normal "Visit your throne room" events, and if you use the button on the "Another Stupid Advice" event INSTEAD of just going there, it triggers a modified version of the normal event. But I always just went to the throne room normally, so I didn't get the "Trickery" versions of the events, to they just sit there in my campaign events interface, doing nothing.

You should try Spelldancer for a UMD + Mobility Trickster. As an INT based offensive caster the stats and feats should already be there for the UMD 3. And Magus wand arcanas will go with UMD 2. The speed with Spelldance and a 50% boost from Mobility 1 should make it the fastest character in the game.

Btw, does that mean that we can get true strike lvl 0 infinite casts? Wait... WHAT? Imagine being bloodrager primalist playing with vital strikes on two - handed weapon. Now when you rage you get to cast your spells as a swift action... So basically you can swift action true strike into greater vital strike, EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME with NO LIMIT??? How much dumber than this can we get with this mythic path LMAO. The only time you will miss is on NAT 1... Wait.. I forgot. Nat 1 is actually nat 20... Gimme a brake.... They should make a game difficulty 2 times harder than unfair only for the tricksters to give them some challenge...

Yep, you CAN turn True Strike into a Cantrip for infinite uses with Completely Normal Metamagic! It's one of the reasons Trickster is great. You can also make it a swift action via Sorcerous Reflexes. Trickster is very fun and very powerful indeed!

UMD3 is mostly just for the powerful self buffs we get from Wizard like Mirror Image, Seamantle, Sense Vitals, Frightful Aspect, Foresight. Offensive spells wise you really won't be using any. Before the Elemental Barrage nerf, you could also easily get 2x Elements applied to weapon from wizard buffs.

Another fun fact about Trickster is that AFAIK it is the only Mythic Path that lets you keep certain things if you later take another Mythic Path such as Legend.

I believe you can also keep Angel/Lich spells unless you respec. That is, assuming they still let you keep them. But having access to the Critical Trickster feats even after changing Mythic is amazing, especially for Legend!

Just got to level 17 and got Knowledge World Rank 3. Went to respec my dog and WTF. His first 3 feats are Improved Improved Improved Critical Bite Improved, Improved Cleaving Finish, and Crane style. Haven't tried to respec my companions but if I can choose any power I want this is going to be fun.

Yep, that's the fun part about World 3! While it's not as good for the main character (but you can still get its effect on level 1 feats if you respec, perfect for Human) you actually get it for ALL companion feats when respecced, at the earliest you get them, so full for the pets and around level 2+ for Seelah and Camellia etc!

@@YamatoForever You don't need it, as Pets can easily pierce Demon DR via the Convenant of the Inheritor Relic (same for other party members). Or just the Mythical Beast Mythic Ability For more World 3 feats, I would recommend Greater Trip for Dog & Wolf, as it gives them a free AoO when they trip the enemy!

Hehe, well, in that case, you can roll for some pretty powerful effects, such as Brilliant Energy and good elemental damage for Elemental Barrage cheese. Also, you can always respec out of all Arcana Trickster after you've amassed a highly enchanted hoard of artefacts.

Fighter is my preferred choice, but both are very solid and very strong. Fighter has all the Fighter feats such as Greater Focus & Weapon Specialization + Weapon Training bonuses. Slayer has Sneak Attack progression, Studied Target & also some powerful Rogue Talents like Wearying Strikes & Opportunist. You can't go wrong with both.

Personally I'm making an arcane trickster with spell focus and greater spell focus in enchanting, then using expanded arsenal to do the same for conjuration, then spamming a best jokes empowered hideous laughter at maximum level and basic attacking with snowball almost every round, while still summoning monsters or using controll spells with other spell slots for maximum chaos. I don't like min maxing, but roleplaying as a bullshit wizard that transforms the whole battlefield and sneak attacks with snowballs while every enemy is uncontrollably ROFL is proving to be so fun

You'll get the smaller effects, but when selling a bunch of trash enchanted say +1 somethings, they'll sometimes start stacking in the trade window, despite having different stats and different values, I'm not sure what is happening.

Thanks for this video. I think the Nature 3 is about hunting? There are wild animal in some map that you can kill likfe wolves, deers and bears. May be hunting them will drop some items? Athletic 3 look so good. You can completely ignore your saving throw and get whatever items you want and still can pass all those check. If you have Evasion (or greater one) you basically always take half dmg (or 0 dmg) from spell damage that cannot be avoid normally I also learnt that you can go Perception rank 2 with trickster and get all the improved crit feats then switch to legend later and still retain all those crit feats for your legend character (because you learnt them from your normal feat)

From what I have tested, even at high stealth/greater invisibility you can still be easily detected if you are fighting close to the enemy, sadly.

I'm afraid I don't really know a way at the moment besides respeccing to the mythic path you already chose in game such as Trickster > Trickster. I have heard that respeccing to another fully different Mythic Path can caused some issues in the game, not sure if that is still the case though.

Yes, when I first saw Trickster Persuasion Tricks on beta screenshots I thought it would amazing, basically letting the player become a Wild Hunt mob from Kingmaker. Then I realized it only takes Ranks, not total value of the skill into consideration, which is very disappointing.

@@cRPGBro did someone actually tested Persuasion 3? Because I saw some videos with Persuasion 2, and in wasn't half bad. I'm currently struggling with apparently how to make the impossible. Party of Seelah (boar riding tank), Daeran, Wenduag (axes ftw, from your build), Ember, and Aru. Main is trip focused kinetic. I had Nenio, but Aru came and she gone. Zosiel is a powerful cleric, but I don't like him RP wise. Life without haste is a pain, I miss Zosiel buffs, and kinetic isn't going so well with Trikster. Already respecced and tested quite a bit of builds. Maybe it's time to forget kinetic and go scald as you've shown, it's looking quite good.

Hi there and apologies for the super late reply. You can actually find the Wand of Heal inside a chest in the hidden area of Pulura's Fall after you complete the Constellation Puzzle in the main room. Angels can get it at Chapter 3, all other Mythics at Chapter 5 only.

M6 for Trickster should be at Chapter 4, Socothbenoth will appear after a while in the Demon City and tell you how to do it. Have you started Shamira's Quest already? She should send you towards the Storyteller Tower, and I think that's when Socoth appears. You can then find him on the rooftops at the Flesh Markets, after he tells you to go meet him.

By default, the game lets you level to 20 during normal character progression, and also 10 extra Mythic Levels. Legend Mythic can achieve 40 normal levels and 2 Mythic.

Probably an Arcane Caster focused on Ray spells to take advantage of the boosted Ranged Touch Crit Range from the special Trickster feats! But be sure to get Completely Normal Spell first for more casts and infinite level 1 spells, then get Imp. Critical early through Loremaster.

The wording for Persuasion 3 is "Enemies that fail their saving throw against your demoralize ability", is that not how it works in game? Thats too bad, but honestly not a big deal given that you only get 1 Greater Mythic Trick anyways. I dont think you spoke about Athletics 3, which I think is a decent pick, though still overshadowed by UMD 3. Great video btw

Impossible Domain works for Domain Abilities, True Strike is a Domain Spell, so it doesn't work with it. You can easily cast it before battle though, it lasts for 12s which is enough to prebuff properly in most cases (and you can extend it for 24s), especially when you have infinite uses by making a cantrip!

For Trickster Builds, including Companions, I would indeed rather get the special 3 Trickster Critical feats as overall they're simply too good when combined with Outflank. Just frustrating most of rolls are so low even with fortune buff. The Dragonfly seems bug at the moment too the damage isn't shown on the combat log

You go dual wielding via the Skald Bonus Feats, and pick: 1. Lingering Song (so 1 use of your Rage Song lasts 3 rounds meaning you triple your song uses basically, just remember to activate then turn it off (as it's going to last for 3 rounds even after you turn it off to save uses) and repeat after it ends/before a new battle starts) 2. Teamwork feats such as Combat Reflexes, Outflank, Seize the Moment & Shake it Off. If you follow my other Build Guides you'll notice I pick these on most of my builds because they can highly increase your party's attacks/round by giving you tons of Attacks of Opportunity, pets included. For the playstyle, you'll want to charge ahead after sending your pets/tanks so the enemies focus on them first, and also cast Enlarge Person on your Skald for Reach. You can also have your Skald cast the Grease spell early on as it's very useful for crowd control and an increase to melee AB. You can, however, also go with a Fauchard, a 2H reach weapon with high crit range. For this, you pick Exotic Proficiency: Fauchard, then ignore the dual wielding feats and pick the Cleave line of feats instead: mostly Power Attack, Cleave, Cleaving Finish. You can also branch into the Vital Strike line of feats later one for this approach. This 2H variant trades more attacks/round for more safety and higher weapon damage, but you still generate a lot of attacks from Attacks of Opportunity and also Cleaving Finish + reach anyways. Always be sure to Enlarge your Skald as well for even higher reach. The crit range for both Fauchards and Scimitars is the same, 10-20 after all the Trickster Feats, or 15-20 without.

@@MosCraciun777 there's a "killing pace" bow from skeletal salesman, available in act 5 (choose hunter thingies assortment), that adds half your mobility to bow damage. And since mobility scales from DEX there's no need to invest in STR for this bow.

I was thinking of making an Hospitalier for last azlanti with the aura of life. How does the immunity to death effects work ? Initially I wanted to make him azata, make him as tanky as possible with the friendship aura that so my party will be immortal. Now that I saw you can downlevel a spell, it can be usefull, plus i could go oracle to get the wolf pet and focus on athletics to make him even more tankier. What do you think, what would be a good options for last azlanti core build/mythic path ?

For Last Azlanti on Core, I suggest going with Oracle Angel & Merged Lich as they are the easiest paths overall. Core permadeath is something I have done twice before, both in a Lich run and also in my Trickster run, although it was "unofficial" and without Last Azlanti turned on as I didn't trust bugs not to mess with my progress. Storm of Justice & Bolt of Justice basically destroy whatever in the game, and Angel has great buffs. Lich has strong buffs as well and mid to late game you're basically never dying due to both Deny Death buff and also the huge temporary HP you can grant ALL your party members.

@@MosCraciun777 1. You don't need to focus all skills on main character. Skill focus should be the same as normal run unless you are soloing. 2. I often like doing that for Both Daeran and Camellia, but that's a persona preference. There isn't really a limit to resting in most of the game. 3. Stealth! Chapter 3 has some dangerous random encounters, but mostly avoidable by stacking Stealth to high amounts! Or Greater Enduring Spells as well. 4. My only Lich run was a Brown Fur and it was fun, but that was also my first run. I recommend any full caster arcane class for Lich so you can merge.

Mobility rank 2 is far more powerful than you give it credit for. With a class like rogue with a high sneak attack dice you can kill multiple enemies in a single round. With high enough Dexterity and the right feats, number of attacks of opportunity is not an issue

I currently run a Finesse-based Sword Saint 13/ Mutation Warrior 7, championing the ECB. Upside: Multiple high Crits, before finishing with Greater Vital (Dimension) Strike. Also irritates the targeting of the AI. Downside: On Hard already, enemies love to have a CMD of 65+ as early as by Alunshinyrra. One gets there; but it requires quite some additional investment in Mobility feats.

@@lordsathariel4384 As I mentioned: I play him Dex-based, and Elf (I went with 10/19/10/18/10/10; - Woljif can do better ^^ ) , with Elven Curved Blade. Level 13 for all relevant buffs ,no spell strike used, and the capstone against flat-footed enemies. Level 7 Fighter for the feats and BAB for the Vital Strike line.Plus, Greater Mutagen. - All that with Trickster Mobility 2 in mind, with Daredevil background, and Athletics/ Mobility/Arcana/World as class skills. So: I have a very specific goal in mind. The Elven Curved Blade does not start out spectacularly, with Vermin Bane (basic +2) from Leper`s Smile, until the battle against Forn (Kaylessa quest; after Ivory Sanctum) , who drops Second Chance. After that, it is well-supported: Probably the best in the two-handed department. - Well, when Sword Saint has a slightly rough early game, this choice does not make it easier. ;) For one-handed choices, that may be better suited for other Magus designs, listed by quality : - Rapier is the basic weapon of choice; especially if you focus on Spell Strike. Tons of options. - Scimitar is very well-supported. - Owlcat always love the Dueling Sword; best base stats, great choices, for an Exotic. - And, for Strength-based, Longsword is indeed the number 1 overall for all weapon types in-game.

Or just play cavalier so you have a horse, and take the first persuasion trick level too so all the enemies are flat footed since you auto DD at the start of battle. You get SAs just from picking trickster

Hey man, nice guide as always, have you tried athletic tricks for debuffing such as petrified, sickness, etc? and also can they prevent you to be affected from aura like one from nocticula? it'll be awesome if athletic tricks can solve that

Yep, my Trickster does have both Athletics 1 & 2 for the debuff removal and prevention, and rank 2 will work to outright pass even hard DC checks like Nocticula's Aura. It is easy to hit around 60 Athletics and so.

at will greater invisibibilty (stealth rank 2) is really really good for rogue charecters, not sure about rank 3 spell resistance is great but you only get two rank 3's I would opt for something else
