A question I have is how are the missions if you play solo with teammate bots? Are the bots stupid and in frequent need of revival or can a.i teammates good during pathogen's three missions?

@@danielmoung9098 only on the first 2 difficulty settings. When you go to 3 (intense) they struggle. And on extreme and insane they die alot

For a game concept that would be repetitive in theory it's manage to suck me in (and Ive been burned out on gaming.) The devs did very well in adapting something we've wanted for decades.

I don't mind the repetitive stuff personally I played Left 4 Dead for many many years I actually still play it from time to time so considering this game is basically just Left 4 Dead but with aliens I suspect I'll be playing this game for a very long time to lol

If u combined shock ordnance with aftershock it becomes way better especially in tunnels were they only come in one direction

No save transfer from PS4/PS5 and lack of content at the start killed the game off within two weeks. People literally moved on to play bigger and better games. It's release slot was not ideal tbh.

If the game came with a lot more than a rush development and a rush release it could have been a lot better there's a lot of things they could do they could have done that should have been done upon release stuff that we are getting now with the exception of the pathogen update should have been in the game at the start Now I get releasing new games is not the easiest thing and granted a lot of us aren't capable of doing that however they dropped ball on this one heavily this game was fun for about the first two weeks and then it got dry

For the Mini Grenades for the Gunner, increasing radius is pretty much wasted slots in your grid anyway. The increase to radius is percentile based, and with it being such a small base radius, it won't expand by much. 20% of 5 feet isn't much.

It's radius based, so the overall increase in area is bigger than that.

Frankly the most significant part of the dlc (and update) was adding the paid content to all the classes so you can now wear the classic marine gear as phallanx and lancer. Lol.

@@Prawnsacrifice haven’t gotten the new dlc but if u have the marine utility jumpsuit it eliminates the mechanical arm n he has 2 normal arms Only way I’ve seen him with normal 2 arms Other then the maintenance outfit but it looks like he has mechanical supports for his arm but not fully mechanical

@@Prawnsacrifice gunner is a core class. All the cosmetic DLC already applied to them.. and all (save the utility jumpsuit) still have the ugly arm thing. But before this update/DLC the cosmetic DLCs only had outfits for the classes which came out before them. So Lancer had like three ugly outfits (outside the default ones), and the phalanx while better, couldn't wear the classic colonial marines armour of similar early cosmetic options. My only real complaint (besides some of the ugly gear like the gunner arm) is the fact the Phallanx is in a rifleman's armour not a gunners armour (gunner in the traditional marine sense not the fact this game misnames them, ie the smart gun style light armour rig).

The turret mod slaughter threw the tiny pathogen on the ship. They used to be a problem because you need so much ammunition and they do to much damage. But with the turret mod on shot kills all in a line and the crawl all together. It’s sooo good against the tiny pathogens

If an ability doesn’t work on elites, like you said, what’s the point? After seeing this, I’d rather keep using the Concussion mod. Phalanx can’t catch a break and is treated like the runt of the litter.

I do pretty good with it. All the classes are really the same because they shoot a gun to defend themselves. It's how you adjust that perk grid & utilize the specials is how to excel.

Expedition suit mk. 2 + the blackops eva helmet looks really good I think the phalanx one is bugged. But you can still add aftershock for the slow

If you want stun, slow or knockdown effects, other classes have better options. But it might be an alternative for Synth missions.. but even if that's the purpose.. other classes can still do a better job at that. So.. I'm not sure

I haven't unlocked it all. But a few weapon skins are not that flashy to be honest. Kinda simple gradients you can do in photoshop. Some new attachments are pretty useful for some builds.

Anyone else feel the technician flame turret is way to good compared to any other version of his turrets like why use the others when flame gets the job done better

Enemies have to get Close and on higher difficulties it gets destroyed very fast if you let them get they close to it. You'd need alot of crowd control to keep aliens from exploding acid onto it. Each one has a purpose. Like how it's better to use the heavy turret vs synthetics cause they won't get close often enough. It depends on the difficulty, your build and the level. Place a flame turret in a group of aliens on insane difficulty. See how long it lasts.

Personally, i love the new "cannon". Placement is (as always) very important.Placing it so it enemies are funneled makes them all slowed and your turrets and your damage are greatly increased, using Creative Pin Point Solutions.

Flame thrower has to be up close. The sniper turret is great for synths and the particle cannon slows and has the range of the sniper turret as well as 100% penetration.. (giggity)

Phalanx class is specifically for going against synths.

And every other class can do just as good with their abilities for knockdowns, stun, slow effect at long range or dps. I never liked the Phalanx. holding a shield.. moving slow just to block bullets. It's too slow for me. I'd rather use a Recon sniper build if I want to be "safe" from synths. I never really choose Phalanx on synth levels anyways. It's just not fun for me

@@AcidGlow my play style for rpgs was always the defensive character and I’m really good with the hand cannon style guns. The build I use gives me a my ammo back every time I kill the enemy so I don’t have to reload. Personally getting more powerful from taking damage makes it a bit more fun especially if you are just doing a game to mess around.

@@boboquad basically I just have jackpot on for perks so every enemy that has a health bar gives me a full magazine instantly and then I load up the shock tackle with recharging perks so the cool down is as fast as possible and does more damage. With the rest of the space in invest in weapon handling and reload speed. This is a class I will mostly use if the challenges for the day need me to take out a lot of synths. Also I just tested the new ability to throw the electric charge and it’s amazing at crowd control for the grunts and definitely ment for the synths. It’s barley stuns warrior and pretorians. However the 2 things I’ve had the most fun with are the single load launcher perk for demolisher, especially with the plus ultra challenge card since that’s basically the challenge card I’ve been wanting them to put in since day one.

Docs new mod would have been better suited attached to combat stims instead of his trauma station. The only time I bother using that ability is when gunner activates overclock or when we just want to run to the next area a little faster. This is like a trash version of the Recon support drone since only Docs kills can be applied restoring health and its a negligible amount. I doubt the field station would even be useful to new players on casual or standard the way it is. If you do the math the field station mod is actually not a perk because it makes his station worse than the base. -Starts with 1000 less healing -There are about 5 aid kits on average per mission across all difficulties, multiplied by 350 less per kit means another 1750 lost - (1000+1750)/20 =138 kills Doc would have to get just to make his field station break break even with the base station, assuming all of Docs kills are made when it is below 1880

Everyone had to pay for this.. The Ultimate pack ppl go with "All the DLC" was for the first year! This is the start of the 2cnd year and it starts off this new DLC campaign. The first year was 4 Seasons of Cosmetics. And then they gave us 2 extra classes along the way. But if $15 is too much for you, then don't worry about it.

I play this game like everyday. Love it but Beta and Alpha are getting annoying. Their reflex are getting slower. Sometimes they even blocking my view. I hope we'll get option to make them stay at one place.

@@alicethedragonprincess447 Well it's not a triple A game. It's a small game. So $15 is fine for me to support it. There's also a hardcore mode which lets you start a brand new character and you play until you die through 50 levels of difficulty. I don't think they listed what or if there is any reward for level 50. There's a bunch of weapons you can buy and more to unlock along with attachments, weapon skins. But if you don't want to buy it then it's fine. No pressure. I understand.
