During one playthrough I ended up getting the flu with a 40 degree fever. Nothing better to do, so i kept playing anyway. Now that was an intense experience.

I read Sartre's Les Mouches (The Flies) for the first time when my house was infested with fleas. Life imitating art, the story is set in an ancient Greek town infested with flies. This definitely made the experience visceral in a way that I can imagine your flu & fever was.

god same, i finished this game about 4am, already delusional and coughing, and with knees already weak, and THEN woke up with a fucking fever and all. god that was intense

I can relate to that. I watched _A Clockwork Orange_ while I had the flu, and now the film makes me feel ill very ironically. Sucks how that can happen, but it's kind of funny.

@theratprophet2 жыл бұрын
@@magusperde365 P1 and P2 have both magnificent soundtracks. However, music of Pathologic 2 cannot be replaced by the ost of the first game, it is just doesn't match the atmosphere. I can agree with you that new Bachelor company should have a few more remixes of P1, like Ice-pick lodge did with 'Andrei Kabak'. I appreciate your ost choice, but i cannot say which game's soundtrack is better because they are equally great
@magusperde3652 жыл бұрын
@@theratprophet oh you are right that the first game's soundtrack wouldnt fit the first. And the second game soundtrack is still great. But the one gave an "out of this world" feel that the second one doesnt. All in all its not that big of a problem but I still feel it makes the first soubdtrack better in relation to its own game compared to the second one. Even if both are still great. I still listen to Darkness by Theodor Bastard on repeat
@skellymin2 жыл бұрын
@@theratprophet I feel like the first games soundtrack is designed to make you feel alienated, while P2 is designed to make you feel sort of connected to the town. Both achieve this very well, I just hope that the bachelor campaign has more of the alienation factor, it would feel out of place to have artemys soundtrack with daniils experience

I, on the other hand, hear something more... appropriate for the game. "Oh, I've got a cough" "Wait, I've got a powder".

@@vavra222 You're welcome I remember someone else telling what the chanting means too. So thats how I found out. The chanting sure makes the song more creepy with how theres psychological terror there, dealing with a enemy you can not truly see and how it twisted the place into a nightmare.

Good spot. According to one of the commentators in the Bad Karma song comment section, the vocals are taken from a sample pack called “Deepest India” by a company called Zero-G. They field recorded it in 1996-7 in India. The vocalists are Bibi Swarn Nooran, Master Dilbahar and Sohan Lal. The language is Punjabi, the language of a culture located inside the borders of India and Pakistan. The words go: “O Na Kar Maan Rupaiye Waala Ban Ban Ke Na Bage”, which roughly translate to: ”Don’t keep on wanting money, people have loads and they’re never happy” In the pathologic song, we only hear the "O Na Kar Maan" sped up and pitch shifted. Really awesome find, thanks for leading me down this rabbit hole

This game is generous enough to give people afterlife as evidenced by one NPC. If ANY human can escape horrors permanently by means of NOT being erased from existence, it can't be lovecraftian horror, which is what prevents abrahamic religions by default from falling into the genre.
