"Not only power can drive you crazy, but usually crazy people seek power". Brilliant statement.

I love this talk since it is generic and applicable everywhere - people get so easily engaged in power struggles. Moreover if you happen to be a sane person in a group of people crazy for power they will keep projecting their perception on you since a normal, sane, wise person does not fit in their world…now that's pathological :)

9:51 Why is the corrupt person a male? Maybe you need power to be corrupt and you need to be a male to have power... But people really need to be careful when choosing pronouns, especially during big talks like this one. Interesting presentation overall. One tip for the talker: explain what pathology is before talking about it, for the layperson in the audience.

the problem is the language: english is not his first and, by the way he spoke french, neither his second best language

Less intelligent people speak better than him, it is interesting that generally brilliant intellectuals are rarely so glamorous as professional speakers. Those seem interesting, but when you hear them more than once you will realize they repeat the same things again and again.

He is just using standard English as a non-native speaker would at his best, nothing fancy.

When English is a struggle, you should stick to French. Or Romanian, if the event is in Bucharest.

what do you mean? maybe it's not the best vocabulary outreach that you've seen but you can't even compare him to other Romanian politicians.

Sa ivit prostu sa remarce imbecilitati; omul asta nu vorbeste una, ci trei limbi straine, in plus are capacitatea sa faca pilaf majoritatea romanilor in orice domeniu, aici e vorba de intelectuali nu de anchetatori ca tine, care nu stiu nici macar sa se exprime in limba romana, daramite sa o mai faca si corect.
