Pati! "Isa"

I have made this recipe twice now and it is sooo good! I used pork shoulder and I even found the hoja santa in a Mexican grocery store, It gives this mole a wonderful aroma and a special enhancement. My boyfriend is Mexican and he was impressed by this dish, he said: it tastes like a pozole verde, yummy, when are you going to make it again? so, it was a big hit 😍

This is outstanding. I liked it with pork and my wife liked it with chicken. Was able to find both spices dry in Madison, WI. Thanks Pati, we'll make this one for years.

Aren’t we supposed to soak beans overnight? And if not, then is it because of the type of beans you’re using? What is the name of the white beans you’re using? Navy? Great northern? Cannellini?🤗🤗🤗
@desmofan18645 жыл бұрын
Teri San Soaking the dry beans beforehand helps to reduce your cooking time once it hits the pot. It's somewhat intangible to describe, but I kind of like that extra "low and slow" from the longer cook, if that makes sense. :)

Hi Pati, I normally don’t like garlic in my food. In fact, I think my body tries to rid itself of garlic residue as fast as possible. It seems like the use of garlic has increased significantly in the US in the last 20 years. I find it being over used by so many restaurants and in home cooking, and for me, the taste and smell ruins the foods. Are you aware of any garlic substitutes for recipes? And do you have any advice for cooks and chefs regarding the overuse of garlic? BTW, I think Juju may be quite the chef someday.
