Well I've seen quite a few university micro-forums (in terms of ratemyprof comment sections, subreddits, or discord servers) where all people do is talk about professors and how to get them to take you as their grad students or into their labs. So this isn't really that unthinkable. If you can get "Prof X is a bit of a sexist, likes girls with initiatives, and hates it when you use acronyms" in universities, you can probably find something comparable about a world-renowned specialist who saves people's lives from otherwise unthinkably difficult medical cases.

If she's willing to lie about this, what else would she lie about?? This is the exact reason the military, government, and other high level jobs and positions, look for those with high levels of integrity, and weed out those that don't... One seemingly unimportant small lie or omission on an application can expose one's true nature, that could potentially cause harm in the future.

Ive lost most of my hearing due to RMSF and have costant ringing. sometimes bright flashes of light can cause a brief almost "Mic feedback" sound in my head. something to do with my brain trying to hear and turning up the sensitivity to stimulation on the auditory nerve

Hello! :D Grapheme-color synesthete here. Allow me to start by saying I got so excited that ANY show covers synesthesia, accurate or not. (But, of course, here we delve into the subject of accuracy. 😌) There are many forms and variants of synesthesia, so I can't answer for anyone with auditory-visual synesthesia like it seems this lass has. So, here are my thoughts, collected from my own experience and the long amount of time I've spent researching other forms of it: • 2:17 "Is the synesthesia new?" "Yes." ~|~ From my knowledge, synesthesia (GENERALLY) doesn't just ✨ appear. ✨ It's a form of neurodivergence that sticks around with a person ever since they were born. I can't remember a time when I didn't have synesthesia; I just always subconsciously associated letters, numbers, days of the week, and months with colors. It would really surprise me and, indeed, fascinate me if someone suddenly started displaying synesthetic symptoms out of nowhere. o.O However, I did look up some articles to see whether this were true, and while it is correct that sometimes there can be a sudden onset, I'm mostly seeing symptoms of drug use (like one of the students mentioned), posthypnotic suggestions, or brain injury. Sooo...I don't think it's impossible at all, but just unlikely/improbable. :) • It would also surprise me for someone to receive synesthesia from something like frequent flying. I've never heard of it, but here I leave it to the medical experts to tell me if there has, in fact, been a proven case of synesthesia caused by heights above 20,000 feet. 😂 (I get the feeling that it, like most medical dramas, is greatly embellished and inaccurate.... XD) • 4:59 As clever as I think it is to see something from her POV, I think it would be pushing it to make it appear that she's seeing the doctors in different colors. Usually there is an element of association. Graphemes and color; auditory and visual stimuli; sequence and space. For her to just see everything in different colors rather negates the point of synesthesia. • And...this is not as much an inaccuracy, but what does her synesthesia have to do with the episode? XD The rest of the clips seem to be relating to her other medical issues. Can someone who has seen the episode confirm that the synesthesia was just thrown in there for dramatic effect? I thought that perhaps that was the point of the episode, but it seems like it just served as the catalyst. C'est tout ! ✨ Here's a cookie if you read all that. 🍪 XD Have a great day, and it was so fun to check out this episode and see what they did with a lovely but under-recognized form of neurodivergence! 😁

@jenex69182 жыл бұрын
The hospital is in New Jersey. If she was allowed to keep her position without proper Healthcare and then crashed as a result, it could lead to many lives being in danger if she were to crash into a public area. Like a building. Or a hospital. It's House's way of making sure he can't be sued for her negligence without making it look like he cares too much.
