@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries That was a good one mate 👌🤣 I was at a forces reunion evening a few years ago, and one of the lads told the female lead singer of the band hired to entertain us, that... "having his eardrums shattered by a roadside bomb in Basra was more soothing than her voice"... I choked on my beer, and she slapped him in the kisser! I wanted to get a cheeky Simpson's reference in and say "you can't hit Lenny, he's a war hero!!" But I whimped out once I sore the angry red mark left on my buddy's cheek lol

*PatmanQC* thanks for posting this video. I fondly remember playing the original Ninja Gaiden in the arcade. It was certainly challenging but oddly addictive at the same time. As per your PSA at the start of this video, I noticed I'm still subscribed to your channel and the notification bell is turned on. Since you took the time to correctly pronounce Ryu, I went ahead and gave this video a 'Like' as well. All jokes aside, I truly enjoy your content. I miss those days, back when Chad producer Itagaki was making Chad ultra-violent and ultra-sexy games. They've gone down hill without him, NG hasn't had a new game since 2014 Yaiba, and DOA6 got such a low player count for a fighting game that it's barely getting any updates anymore.
@TexasHollowEarth4 жыл бұрын
At least we got Razor's Edge on XB360 & PS3, without Itagaki. It was a really polished game that fixed practically everything bad in NG3 vanilla. The dlc gouging was pretty bad in NG3 vanilla, too. Custom Ninjas, no censorship & a rich co-op mode were some serious icing + that fine-tuned gameplay with EVERY weapon. Only real downer was that much of the best customization equipment was locked behind that 3 player arena mode.
@ninjiango91264 жыл бұрын
NG3/RE should have reached NG2 level sales and popularity. They had all the hype of NG2 going in, but blew it on release day because it wasn't RE on release. Difference is NG2 was made by a Chad game developer who was trying to push boundaries of everything he can get away with from violence and sexy women to limitations of Xbox 360. NG3 was made by a Virgin game developer who follows rating board rules and doesn't try to push anything, only doing the minimal.
@cartoonvideos54 жыл бұрын
Itagaki is a crackpot, evidently you haven't played Devils Turd. Team Ninja may have shit out Yaiba from the bowels of their offices, but at least they apologized with Nioh 1 and 2. DoA though? They need itagaki

Very informative video. You left one cameo out though. The series, Nioh, also by Team Ninja, has a secret fight where you fight an ancestor of Ryu, Jin Hayabusa. Donning the same blue dragon ninja attire as Ryu, he is extremely formidable, and has near the same skills as his Xbox incarnation. Defeating him nets you his weapons and costume, and a chance at 2 special skill drops that allow you to learn the Art of the Inferno ninpo, and his famous Izuna Drop technique. Have a great day!

I pronounce Ryu the same way you initially did. Same as how we pronounce RIE-U in Street Fightger. People can debate how it's pronounced forever, but I'm sticking with RIE-U personally :)

Best thing to do... Its always been REE-YU to me... But BOTH are actually wrong... So it doesn't matter! You can find Native Japanese Speakers on KZbin who will confirm it is supposed to be pronounced as "RH-U" as RY makes a RH or ROO sound In Japan!

I started playing streetfighter back in 1991 so I've been pronouncing it that way since that time frame. Not a big deal though
