I don’t think he feels any way about it. Anyone who was a subscriber already watched these, and got what they wanted, so now [in some cases] months after being put out, these probably don’t do much in terms of revenue from subscribers anymore. Yet, they do serve twofold now: good marketing for the Patreon (so people know what they’re buying), and getting more view that they wouldn’t by leaving them on Patreon after months.

I think what makes the story about the man sitting on the bench even more heartbreaking is that his wife probably left him _because_ he was in his early stages of dementia.
@kingsqueen.2 жыл бұрын
she probably thought he wz just being an asshole nd really he had no idea what he forgot to do
@0hMyGandhi2 жыл бұрын
@@kingsqueen. very true. It's so sad, either way. I've heard stories about people with dementia and people with Alzheimer's, and at a point, they just cease to be who you thought they were, because they themselves don't know you, and don't know themselves. It reminds me of when Stephen King was hit by a van when he was younger, he became insanely prolific in his writing, writing everything he could ever think of down, because his worst fear was that he wouldn't be able to recall his own memories.
@kingsqueen.2 жыл бұрын
@@0hMyGandhi I worked n an Alzheimer’s facility for years. It’s heartbreaking what it does to families. I’ve been truly blessed by some families after caring for their loved ones bc they know it takes a really strong mental not to take stuff personal nd not to just walk around crying all day
@kingsqueen.2 жыл бұрын
@@0hMyGandhi one woman wz really old nd she used to cry out to her daughter at all hrs of the night sayin “Deborah, I’m sorry I don’t know who ya daddy is, they took me nd made me do it. I promise I didn’t want to”. Broke my heart everytime. She used to tell me about walking to the river to wash nd being chased by men who would hang around waitin for the kids to walk to school. She whispered one time “hurry up so we cn head back b4 the sun fall”

That poor guy that thinks he doesn't need his mind is in big trouble. He is rich and going through dementia? People are going to take his money and he will ever end up homeless or killed. The worst thing to lose is your mind. You can lose any of your senses, limbs and even some organs. But once you lose your mental faculties, you are at the mercy of others. I hope for his sake he has people who he can trust that will handle his finances responsibly.
