Patrice summing up the next generation of comedians. Not having to be funny but also being confident that the audience is OK with them not being funny. Stand up dramedy.

I think Patrice could've been one of the only people to have outdone Ricky Gervais as a host of the Golden Globes. Imagine the dose of reality he would've hit Hollywood with. It is truly sad that we will never again hear the man's views on society and on the world around us. R.I.P Patrice.
@noyes.3 жыл бұрын
No way that would’ve happened.

Unfortunately I agree. For some reason Hollywood see Ricky Gervais as some kind of comedy genius who can almost do no wrong in their eyes. So it's no real surprise that they've had him back time and time again. The same was not so for a guy like Patrice. Ricky Gervais rips everybody in the room apart but he basically says what everyone is thinking but afraid to say. Patrice would've said things that nobody else would even think of, let alone say, so he would've been way too unpredictable. It's sad. I love Patrice and many people love Patrice, but I'm not sure Patrice fully realised how much people like us love and appreciated the guy. One of comedies truly unique minds for sure.

@Dee Jay70 Definitely.👍 Unfortunately "celebrities" today are too scared or concerned about the consequences to be openly honest and to attack or even just challenge the ridiculous side of today's culture. Therefore it continues to grow more and more ridiculous each and every day. The world misses Patrice and so do I. A truly unique minded individual who had too much pride and self respect to play the bullshit games famous people are expected to play.
