Now, to be fair, Pat's math does kind of check out here. Normally, it costs $5 to get 75 Platinum, which is an exchange rate of $1 == 15 Pt. For $200, you can get the biggest bundle that gives you 3000+1300 Pt. == 4300 Pt. At half off, that's $100 for 4300 Pt., where the 4300 Pt. == $286.67, excluding the free bonus you get for buying in bulk. So, Pat technically saves $186.67. Subtracting the $100 spent from his savings, that is a gross savings of $86.67. Then, add that $25 donation, and Pat's gross savings becomes $111.67, effectively making the purchase "free". However, that is assuming that Pat would have spent $200 without the coupon, and doesn't account for the fact that the 75% coupon provides even greater savings. In summary, Pat has a problem, and this accountant style math doesn't change the fact that he spent $100 on ninja bullshit. That said, I can't talk. I have dumped hundreds into a Gameboy collection that I rarely play at all. P.S.
