I had a Pathfinder kit. Great, but those rubber pieces that contact the tom kill the resonance.

iv got 3 pathfinder kits from 1st red one to 2 teal ones and looking get second teal pathfinder bass drum my uk tour kit plus i have 2 custom sjc kits to and 10 sjc snares

As awesome as it is that drummers can get SJC without paying an arm and a leg, I dont know if the quality is quite there for this price point. Every time I hear this kit, I hear lots of punch, but no musicality whatsoever. If that is your thing, go for it. It is probably because of the imported wood and choice of hardware. I still love SJC though. They care for their customers and produce great quality if you can pay for it.

Yeah that's not at all true. Tuning has a lot to do with it. And these don't tune like other drums. I've had mine for 6 years and they are Hella lively. But for these type of genres you don't tune for that
